What's up with the motor mounts on the E class? We've gone through two sets on my wife's car and she drives it super easy. In fact we are on the original brake pads with plenty left and the car has 129,000 miles....our mechanic says it's like some kind of record. 😂

Which year? The 211 e class (2003-2009) used to go thru engine mounts about every 60k. The newer ones last a little longer but majority of the time just need the rear engine mount (trans mount) but shops like to sell all three. I just did engine mounts today on our personal 2014 e350. 78k miles

They should last a bit longer but I guess it all depends on what parts were used when they were replaced originally. I’m a big fan of factory parts

I have a 2012 E-350 Blue tec diesel with 15K miles on it. It has been a great car. Anything I need to watch out for?
Thanks,
Dave

Can you fix a 2014 sprinter van “def” issue? Keeps throwing codes and goes into count down. Have replaced NoX sensor, injector, pump and computer brain.

Did you replace the nox sensors with factory ones? Also it will need the latest software installed to most likely correct the issue. Just did the same exact year for this issue last week. Two new nox sensors and an update to the scr and cdi module took care of it.

Never let your friends borrow it and put gas in it. Also make sure to run the approved low ash engine oil. If you use regular Diesel engine oil it will cause it to plug up with sludge and cook the engine. Seen it many times. Highly recommend the factory oil

You can do this with an aftermarket tuner. If it’s something you’re interested in I can get more info for you

From the scanner I have cylinders down. But it has proper voltage.

fuck that dealer in sandy that used to be in Orem. I have taken my car there twice and neither time did they do what I asked or fixed warranty items. Really soured me for ever getting another Mercedes.

I have an E 550 Coupe 2010, with 50k miles. Anything to watch out for? Absolutely love the V8 motor! Just wondering what I should plan for from a maintenance perspective and can bring car to Havasu.

Those have been great cars. By then they got all the problems worked out of the engine they had in the earlier production. All we see with those cars are warped front rotors and front seat back release handle trims peeling. Just keep up on your normal maintenance and you’ll be good. Also recommend factory filters. Some aftermarket ones have the wrong style replacement seals which cause a hell of a mess when they leak. 👍🏼

Will it open with the switch on the drivers door? Do you have any lamp out warnings on in the dash For license plate lamp?

PM me a price to replace the rear main on a 05 E320.

Also anything else you'd recommend while the tranny is dropped like the pump seals etc.

Thanks

They’ve been good engines. As far as the brand new body style only time will tell. Haven’t seen too much bad yet.
