I'm turning 50 here in a couple months. Some people buy Ferraris....I'm going to look at this bad boy tomorrow. Pretty excited.

But if it’s what you want, I hope you get a great deal on it. :)

Just rebuild and drop some more power on your lil "red" friend.....it would probably be faster than that gay ass Smart Car. :D

Grads, drive it first. They are not great cars to drive. As for carbon footprint they do not get very good mileage either. I have driven and worked on several.

If you own/drive a Smart car, does that mean that everyone else's car is dumb?

Grads as Riverbottom said they're not "great" cars to drive. I had one back in '12 to use a glorified golf cart around the neighborhood. The transmission shifts odd, and it does not get great mileage. I want to say it was maybe 19mpg but its been a while. It was great driving around town on a busy weekend as I could park it easy, and I when I did take it out in the road never worried about speed traps thinking what self-respecting cop is going to pull over a Smart Car. Took it on a few 100 plus mile trips around the FL Panhandle a few times, and we had a lot of fun with little car. When the lease was up, I wanted to keep it, but that idea was veto'd.

Not the greatest car but for what we did with it, I would get another one.

Get the convertible, and look at the Brabus package.

One of my customers bought one when they first came out. Seemed a strange purchase as he had several nice sports cars. I asked him how it drove on the freeway and he replied " she is just like a cotton ball in a tornado " I have never forgotten that expression.

I’d be more worried about a collision than anything else.

Even under 40mph a 1/2 ton would probably turn it to dust.

This is perfect for Grads. No worries about parking it. That car will easily fit into his backpassage. JK .Lol

So far the best use I've seen for them was parked on the back deck of a semi towing a 5th wheel. If they only get 19mpg, I would rather drive, well just about anything. Get an old bug or something;)

This is definitely a concern of mine. It will most likely only be driven on residential streets (25 mph). This all started when I almost bought a neighbors golf cart as a grocery getter but then realized it would suck in the winter. so for a little bit more money I can get a Smart car.

I think Smart cars do Ok on impact...they act like a billiard ball. They have little mass, so they just get punted out of the way. Getting caught in between two trucks though:eek:

View attachment 786645 This was a problem with the Smart Cars for awhile in SF.
Friend bought one back in the early days and that's what happened to him. His was rolled on its side.Ins paid for the repair and it was like new again.:D:D:D

With a giant RDP sticker on it, that's exactly what will happen to Grads' in his liberal sanctuary city.:p TMZ material right there.

They are lame- I rented one before thinking it would be fun. It wasn't
Worst transmission in recent memory.

Everyone would know that if you were truly on the RDP payroll you'd be driving something a whole lot nicer than that pile.

Well I went and test drove it today. I have to admit, there is a LOT more room in those things than I thought. I'm not a small dude and it felt very spacious. The thing was really fun to drive too. Not sure we can make a deal on this one though, we'll see.
