We got back to the house up by Budwieser later this afternoon, 6:30-7ish and saw the chopper cruising up and down the river kinda sideways like they were looking for something/someone. Just now, 10:40 there is a pickup load of people with flash lights across the river searching and calling out " Michah", "Michael", "Mikey". :(:(
This breaks my heart, and I hope the person is found OK.
Anyone hear or know anything? And When they are found could you let us know? Prayers up!

This was in this mornings paper:

FORT MOHAVE. Search efforts are expected to resume this morning for a man who disappeared while swimming in the Colorado River in Fort Mohave on Monday.
The man, identified by family members as 20-year-old Michael Galves, reportedly went underwater near Circle Beach, just off Boundary Cone Road, and did not resurface.

Emergency personnel responded around 5 p.m. and conducted searches by air, water and land before suspending search operations shortly before 8 p.m. Monday. No additional information was available.

Sad deal. A 21 yr old kid drowned in front of our park Saturday in Ehrenburg trying to swim across the river to jump off some rock. His family was on shore BBQ'ing and watched him go under. Water was very silty from flash floods up river and visibilty has been VERY poor. As of late last night they still had not found his body... Drowned in 5 to 6 ft of water.

Man's body found in river
The search for Michael Galves came to a sad conclusion late Tuesday morning when his body was recovered in the Colorado River, public safety officials and family members confirmed.
The 20-year-old Galves disappeared after entering the water near Circle Beach late Monday afternoon, reportedly to assist the operator of a watercraft who was having difficulty. Galves went underwater and did not resurface.
Searchers spent about two hours looking for Galves on Monday before darkness forced suspension of operations. The search resumed early Tuesday.
Additional information is expected to be released later today. The Fort Mojave Tribal Police are in charge of the investigation.

Swimming in the river current sure can be sketchy.
