I believe lenders will loan on mobile homes,however the value of just the mobile is a fraction of selling price (at the Islander ) Your paying for location,Amenities,launch ramp,gated with security so forth. Mobile homes will be valued by lender based on what would cost to buy it only.

It was easier and a way better rate to get a fixed rate home equity on primary residence through a credit union than trying to get just a straight loan on the Mobile. Worth the time to shop that idea.

Just a side note, we bought a mobile at a resort in the Sac Delta. Spent a bunch of time looking at real estate, that was 5 times the price and the property taxes were way more than the park rent. 12 years later, best move we ever made. Cheap to buy, cheap to keep and surrounded by folks that have the same outlook as you.
