FUCK THAT SHIT. Just looking at that picture my balls retracted into my body. Hell fucking no
Here is a shot from a customer in SLC. A bit of boom deflection on a 550 ton. On this crane the counterweights can retract so you don't have to shut down a lane of traffic.

👍🏼👍🏼SLC hotel/Convention center! Had a part in that Jobsite (mostly on convention center side) .Always loved how the Tower cranes are broken down and also the way they get jumped up a section.

Awesome lift. So on tilt ups - I wonder if an anchor pulls out and it damages Crane, does contractor insurance pay damages. Maybe contractor and Crane are the same company on these big tilt ups.

Crane and contractor are never the same. Almost always a business to business relationship. You also have rigging crews in the mix. Generally all parties are sharing in the pain when it’s a catastrophic failure to one degree or another.

The rigging crew is primarily responsible for the lifting gear. Failures do happen though.

Done lots of Tower cranes in my career and never dismantled one that close to a finished building. That's a real challenge to pull off, especially in the wind...
