Our 20 Spectra that we're rebuilding uses the Glenwood cast aluminum four point mounts. The insides and outsides of the stringers are plated with 3/8" x 5" aluminum, each around 3' in length.

To what horsepower level can these be reliably used?

Thanks, Mark

HP's a factor however it's the boat usage is a key element in your question. Anything other than flat/semi flat conditions you are asking for trouble with cast; it's just a matter of time before they fracture. Considering you already have a aluminum stringer set-up in place I would HIGHLY recommend pitching the cast and utilize simple aluminum angles.

Thanks, pretty much what we were expecting to hear. We'll start building up a set this weekend.

Cheers, Mark
