MSD Rev Limiter

Anybody use the MSD 8768 rev limiter on the non rev limiter marine ignition? Are They reliable? They are discontinued but was able to pick up a used unit for a few bucks. Figured I would give it a try before purchasing the newer box w limiter.

Yes this is how the MSD boxes were setup, 6M2 with the soft touch limiter box. Very reliable.

When they came out with the 6M2L they discontinued both items.

Good to hear jr. was a little concerned since they are discontinued. Sales pitch to get folks to buy new I’d say

I keep that set up for a spare. I run the digital box now.

If you need RPM modules Marine Industries West has the kits hanging on the wall and Alexi at Boostpower has a some too. They are not that easy to find.
