Muddy river

All the storms in the area are making a mess of the river.

Been that was for the last month or so.
As you go north, so can see where the current is, based on the water actually being blue

We went up river a couple weeks ago on the Seadoos and it was clear then up to the sandbar but after you make the left it turned to Willy Wonka's chocolate river. We made it to the first no wake zone and decided to head back to the lake. Great pic BTW.

Wednesday morning. Water visibility was a few inches. From the river mouth through the gorge, various degrees of muddy. No blue, green water.

So does that destroy your impeller, water pump? I would imagine it's like putting sandpaper in your system.

I thought about that, but if you cup the water in your hand, it basically looks clean and it didn't really stain my trunks, so I am guessing it's too fine to be much of a problem. I probably won't go North again though until it cleans up, because it defeats the reason I go North, clean cool water.

With all the rain they have been not letting water out of Mead and Davis dam which is great for the drought but running the water from BHC down to Needles is super sketchy right now. We have been using the pool alot more the last couple weeks.

Lake Mead has gone up 15" in the last two weeks.

3 weekends ago I walked across in front of the walk up bar. Probably about 5’ deep.
