So my daughter just came running into my office screaming that Austin is on the roof.

Now she is our drama queen so I don’t pay it much attention, I mean how the hell isca 3yr old going to get on the roof. Then she grabbed my arm and started pulling me out of the chair.

This is all while I’m on a conference call.

Well everyone on that call heard the the F bomb followed by my phone dropping.

This dam kid.

Haha awesome! My 8yr old daughter was stuck in a tree a few weeks ago for prob a good 10 minutes before anyone heard her screaming for help. Life lessons and learning boundaries the free range way.

All I can say is at least he is outside playing and doing what my generation did as kids. Now days, all you see are kids indoors sitting on the couch with a tablet smack-dab in their face.

What I see in that pic is a happy adventurous young boy just doing his thing!

Rock-on little guy, you’re a diamond in the rough 👍

Oldest kid hates playing outside, the middle one and this brat love it.

... I just woke up and read this and I was trying to think if I had done anything at that level at that age ...I am tending to think that I waited a couple more years and really did some stupid shit...

,,..At three about all I had managed to come up with was playing on the railroad tracks ..:finding some coins that had been sent by a world war 2soldier to my parents from the Fiji Islands ...well I grabbed a few and walked a long block to the liquor store and tried to buy an orange soda... the guy wouldn’t sell one to me???...

Haha. We had that exact play set. They get on the railing over the tube slide, then to the low roof and then to the upper roof. Boys will be boys, buckle up there is more to come!

I was at a hotel a few years ago for a wedding, and we were on the 2nd floor. The balcony was almost hanging over the roof of the 1st floor office area. We were getting ready for the wedding, and there was a knock on the door. All 3 of my boys (6/9/11 at the time) had climbed over the balcony and were strolling around on the roof of the hotel in their wedding attire.

Boys will be boys.

Boys man. Everyone says girls are harder but if you have one that does shit like this it isn't true.
This is true our 1 1/2 year old is on another level wishing he would have been my first when I was a little younger

Stud for sure.... we had 2 boys [now men] and the younger was that type kid. When we'd take road trips my job was to drop everyone off at rental and go find the emergency walk in clinic .... 50% of the time that climber kid would need stitches and my job was to get him there before bled out ha.

I was putting a ceiling fan in our daughters' room at our old house back when my 2nd was only about 18 month or so. Just crawling at that time. I left to go grab something from the garage and come back to Bailey on the very TOP of the 6' ladder I left set up in their room. She would climb everything and jump off it to get to what she wanted. It didnt matter how high or how hard the landing was. She was our little Monkey.

Where is that rocket because I’m pretty
Sure I remember it and it scared the shit out of me!
This was just a quick grab off the web, it's in Torrance though. We had one just like it as well at Furman Park in Downey

Wow. kind of cool, kind of not if you think what could have happened.

Either way save the picture in case he goes into the roofing business.

Give him a few years, doubt they are still around but i can see him on the top of the good old school rocket. Much scarier coming down, LOL

We used to have one not much taller than that when we were kids and we would shake it from up top... Took climbing up the outside a couple times for me to realize that I no longer like falling and thus heights!

It always amazed me how much children can climb.. even infants that can’t walk can climb up and out and down a crib. Scary the first time you see if.. scarier when you think about them potentially falling.

And while my daughter was easier on us growing up, she still pushed the limits and anything the boys could do she could do better! this is her at I think 8yo.

Get that kid a helmet now. He’s destined for greatness.
I remember early 70’s my dad built a swing set like this in our backyard. He finishes getting it all setup in freshly mixed concrete late Sunday afternoon and tells us kids no playing on it until he gets home from work Monday evening. “Yeah Right!” The next morning my little brother and I (4&5yr olds) get up early, confirm dads gone to work then haul balls to backyard. “OHH the greatest swing set in whole wide world...” and were not allowed on it yet. Damn, Temptation was too great and there’s No Effing way we’re waiting!
Sooo, both of us immediately climb up on top of monkey bars and with one of us sitting on top at each end, we start “King of mountain” and trying to shake each other off.
Welll, that puppy starts rocking pretty good then all of sudden “Timberrr“ the swing set with us on top, tips over and crashes to ground. Luckily neither of us got hurt except for a spanking.
Dad reset it, and 24 hrs later we began 5+ years of great fun on a partially bent, but not broken swing set that today would be aka The Death Trap.
Long live growing up in the 70‘s & 80’s.

This is a good sign the world needs more independent, leader, risk takers.

I have 4..... two boys two girls three of them were just like that kid always at the edge.

My oldest Son made two trips in one day to Hoag ER for stitches He was hell on wheels and on the Ice Rink as a hockey player ( One of his line mates plays for Detroit Redwings and One for Ducks and Another for the Kings. He was getting his second set of repairs to a leg leaker (Same Day ) and My wife called me from the ER the Doctor was questioning Her about the Bruises all over his body She told him when he's not on a ice rink he's at the river on motorcycles and water-skiing he said OK I normally call child protective services when I see a kid like this....

He's now a Commerical Real Estate Broker and kicking ass.....

let them run and they will be leaders...If you keep them under wraps they will be followers.

As parents its a hard call sometimes....

Not sure if I should be proud he pulled that shit off without falling or be mad that he did it.
Both...
There's things I tell my boys they shouldn't have done. Sometimes those same things I'm pretty damn impressed buy. The other day, I came home to a 10ft section of a telephone pole standing up, burried 2ft in. My 98lb 14yo did it by himself. So, I tell him he shouldn't have. The next day, he enlisted the help of the 13yo...and did 2 more. They want a platform, and a place to hang a hammock...

I predict he is born to be a roofer. Encourage him to own the company, he can make a fortune.

Many...many years ago I was in Las Vegas, Circus Circus. They had this rotating round sitting area with booth seating on the parameter. You entered from the second floor, sat down and it rotated over the first floor casino floor and you see the circus acts. I am sitting there, as it was coming around it was like what the hell, my mind did not quite understand what I was seeing. There is this little kid hanging on the outside railing that is stagnant, over the open portion of the first floor casino. No one even noticed...I jumped ran and pulled him over. His parents were not even in the rotating area, they were on the arcade floor playing those carnival games. Got the waitress, to get a manager...parents started looking for him..I yelled he is over here...everyone came over...most could not believe it. I told the manager it happened once it can happen again. Somehow that kid was able to get to the outside of the railing and proceed about 12 feet on the ledge on his own, it was unreal.

My wife has decided he will be a fireman. His cousin is 28 and has been with Anaheim for few years. Kid has it made. My wife see’s that and has declared it a done deal lol.
I will show him many great career choices. Lineman being one of them. Also armed services will keep him out of trouble when he is young and dumb.
