Pretty proud of my little girl Emily (7) and her go get it and don't quit attitude. She finished every mile of the 15th annual poker run + 10 miles driving to the start and the ride home after the last stop. She has watched a bunch of different kids in our camp group for the last 5 years in a row including her brother win this prize for being the youngest finishing driver. She didnt quite have the arm strength for steering in softer sand to do it last year in her 170rzr but she would have tried to do it on her 70cc quad if I had let her. She was determined this year and handled it in her rzr200 and part of the prize was $100 cash.
My son is 9 now and finished on his ktm65 this year and mama followed us all solo in her Can-am. This Thanksgiving, I was most thankful that my son can kick start his own dirtbike almost all the time now. I'll be looking for a CRF150r for him very soon.
It was great to meet and have Steve-o and his family and always a pleasure with yz450mm and family. Thanks for cruising through the day at max 30mph with us
The prize,
The $, my favorite pic
With Navigator Kylie, they have an intercom and radio with wired helmets to talk to each other and the rest of the group. I would love to hear their intercom chat through some of the hairy sections when they explained later "we almost died like 10 times." Next year, we go-pro.
Stop 3 deep in the valley looking back toward Hammertown
I was herding kids this year on my 450RX. Our new Sena bluetooth intercom headsets on the MX helmets between my son and I were AWESOME. I could hear him clearly for any questions and still tell the RPM/power band level his motor was at on his bike and giving him shifting and gear advice as well as picking lines through the desert. I heard "stupid rock" more than once. This was a huge step up from PCI handheld radios with the moto kits and push to talk buttons and I got the Sena earmuff style headset so my wife or I can talk to the kids if we want and they can let us know if they have a problem while they are riding around our property.
Saturday night's fire we like em hot
Thankful for making memories and I hope all you RDP peeps had a great Thanksgiving weekend too.
