Thread title says it all.

I’m trying to avoid having to make the drive to the otherwise excellent, Q&E Machine in Anaheim. Plus I think they must be super busy. I emailed them to see if I could ship the bare block back to them for boring a couple of holes and honing the others. No response. Guessing they are busy.

Any suggestions around Vegas area? I’m told that 2-stroke outboards need special boring equipment to avoid screwing up the ports in the cylinder bores.

@namba860 might know of a machine shop in vegas....he used to operate there.

The issue with 2 strokes when you can't pull the cylinders off is that most boring bars won't reach the bottom of a blind hole, like we have in mercurys. The west side of the country is a bit rough for outboard machinists...

If you're willing to ship the block, I'd call up Chris Carson marine in FL.
