...well actually on the trailer. Anybody got a right hand set they want to get rid of? A week ago, Sunday, I was on the beach in the Channel. Sat for two or so hours. Went to leave, and I could barely move the shift lever. Smoothest control I ever had. Worked when we got there, then almost totally locked up. Luckily we were done an I got her in gear. Made it back, blah, blah.

I just got back to the boat and started to troubleshoot, and it is the shift lever itself. Jammed in neutral and won't budge. I have the control apart and I can't even get the shift lever off of the little shaft it rotates on. Pretty sure it's done. It's a Hardin, but that's not real important unless the mountings are all different. On hold at Eddie's, Livorsi says build to order, 8 weeks. Looking for ideas, or some luck. It's a plain white set, from base through the shaft and knobs. I'd consider other colors obviously if it would get us going. Thanks for anything the brain trust can come up with. Who stocks them? Anybody?

Not sure where you are located and if it’s for a single or duals but I have this sitting in my storage unit in Phoenix.

Smear some grease around it and use a lighter or butane torch that you can lean the O2 out on (yellow flame not blue) and warm the grease so it flows down around the shaft and maybe then you can get it apart. I've gotten delicate stuff apart like this before

Damn that's a pretty good match. What's the bolt pattern for the mount? What do you want for it? In Havasu now. At the Landing. I'd consider driving to Phoenix tomorrow unless I can get the RD Express going.

May try something like this. I've got to get into one of my buddys' garages so I can put it in a vise. Not setup yet at my house. I'm using the kitchen island. Shhhhh.

My bolt pattern is 2 3/4 x 7 1/8. Single.

Propane torch and candle wax…heat should draw in the wax and let you get it apart. Clean things up, lube with a silicone grease (like superlube or tune up grease) and button it back up

I think I have it figured out. Bummed a vise and workbench from a neighbor. Got it off without heat and I have cleaned it up with steel wool. Also remade the little détente hole for neutral which looks like it might have been the problem. Hard steel ball against soft aluminum. Aluminum lost. Thanks all. Going to run this at least temporarily. We're kicking around a repower, so may end up with DTS. Don't want to buy two controls if I can avoid it.
