Have you checked a pharmacy for a machine you can rent. And not have to deal with a tank for example.

Check the welding shops. If I remember correctly they fill them so pretty sure they will sell the tank. You still wouldn’t need a regulator, not sure they sell those.

Great news Dave. As Gramps said medical supply is where to start. They almost work 24/7 when my grandparents and father cane home from the hospital on Hospics. it was a fast set up.

I’ve got a medical oxygen tank if it helps any. It’s in Rancho Cucamonga though…

If you are having a hard time get aviation oxygen and doser. Probably way cheaper than medical and no Rx required.

Aviator oxy is usually available at any oraxair or airgas.

+1 for Racey's suggestion if you need to pay for the O2 out of pocket. The only difference between Medical and Aviators Breathing O2 is you can get a prescription for the Medical gas, which means insurance should cover part of the cost.

I would think his doctor could write orders for a concentrator or a bottle set up though.

If you need an O2 set up, you can get them from Aircraft Spruce.

Rotech Medical Supply. That’s where I got mine when I was released in Havasu recently. Little unresponsive but no issues. I got a concentrator and 3 tanks from them.

All the best for your buddy.
I’m stunned the hospital doesn’t have arrangements to set this up for a discharging patient.

What did they say, you can leave if you can find some oxygen?
