Looks damaged to me, along with the input shaft obviously.
I’m not sure how that works without a dampener and then a spline adapter. But I’m not an expert. This is what I have. It has to be shimmed properly also.
before i had the the "standard duty" damper and it cracked along with the adapter as well the enging builder got me this one without the damper. it seamed like it broke real easy maybe cause it doesnt have the damper?
shifted from second to 3rd at maybe half throtle and this is the result
Shimming and crank end play or “Thrust” have a big play in these issues. On my personal boat I have over 1/8” clearance because when I zap the throttle the thrust moves plus the flex dampener and if it’s set tighter as I normally do it will snap. The goal is to let it float but not rattle, it’s a fine line and each power level actually matters as to the play in my opinion. Feel free to contact the shop. Our new phone system will be complete by Wed. Or email [email protected] I have new and used in stock and thanks Paul[emoji1689]
I deleted most of my trans build picks off my phone but u can look it up on my build in the restoration section.
This should be a easy fix but ur gonna need a new pump and forward drum with input shaft
The cheapest aftermarket 1 I could find was CK performance which has a stock drum with new HD input shaft he has pumps 2
