I'll keep this short & too the point. Only spent $11.5 & 13.5 for two boats. That is true. Not $35K. Boats were to have used hardware from older jet boat & stock pumps with A aluminum impellers to follow the build a boat under 20k. I agrreed to rig them for free. Shortly after starting I up grade them to new custom hardware at NO Charge. Motors came, one blown up with heads stuck to the block & studs. The other in a crate bought of ebay & never inspected. A tear down, inspection, re-assemble & custom matalic blue paint job on said ebay motor was done the $500.00 charge for all the work was said to be an assanine charge (after it was done.) Changes have been asked for more then most people change underware. Of course most asked to be done for free. I sent change request & it took two weeks to get an answer back & another week to go back & forth. I take verbale bashings weekly.( Proubly why there is a lack of return calls ) There is more to all this then what is posted.

I have 3 boats I offered free rigging on & added new custom hardware, Boat #3 is 85% done & mostly happy & was told by him " Of course I want my boat like yesterday & sad it is taking longer then thought, but how can you bitch when your getting alot for free? " Heck who wouldn't love to get 8k of free work & parts on a boat. We know who & they are free to come get them & have it done somewhere else if my free work is not fast enough for them. I am only one guy with only two arms :D

And if anyone ever comes drinking again & throw there beer cans on my so called shop floor again, someone will be going to jail.

Well, there you go Ron. Just can't tell the story the same twice can ya, or correctly?
Yeah, 11.5 for one boat and 13.5 for the other because you said it came with a stainless impeller and inducer (your offer, not mine). That has all bee paid in full. Then, you want to sell me a 871 Littlefield blower set up for 4K but I would need YOUR hat for another 1K, ok, paid in full. However, it turns out its a Weiand instead and you called ME a liar. I sent you your own text, remember??? Then you tell me you're hung up until you get money for motor parts, another $1.850. Parts that somehow you know you are going to need for a motor that as of yesterday is still sitting in the corner of your shop untouched. And it was not blown up, it had a broken lifter. period. Anybody doing the math yet? OK, I exaggerated a little bit at 35 but if you figure all the parts I have been shopping and the two trips to his "shop", wherever it is this week.
Nonetheless, we are frustrated that YOU RON, gave us now three delivery dates, not us, YOU. Missed em all.
Changes?? How about my first visit, when I brought you the rest of the money. We drove around to all your subs and looked at hulls and parts. You were telling me how you were going to do everything and I said Cool. I never asked for anything free. You offered some free stuff and of course I agreed. The only thing I upgraded were the seats and trailer fenders. We agreed on a price for those. When I returned home, I formated a build sheet and made two completed sheets, one for each boat, and listed all the things we had talked about. I sent them to you, we discussed it and agreed on the configuration. I never heard about any crazy pricing and complaining until about seven weeks later after my second visit. Prices that were higher than retail.
I had no problem with the tear down, painting of block, and reassembly if you would have just told us first. We also found out the price was $500. So why did you try to get me to sign an upgrade for the same thing for $1,500????
Yeah, you sent an upgrade list, it was the same list I sent you only with crazy pricing. This was never an issue before. And, you sent the list to Bryan a day before I left town for four days, got it when I got back. Not two weeks. Again, I have the documentation.
And the drinking issue, NO SHIT! When you first listed this hull for sale, right here on this thread, so everyone can go back and read it, in March I believe, it said it was all sanded and polished. We walk into your shop May 29, and all three are just now being buffed. Bare hulls, sitting on the floor with holes cut for intake and guages. (too many holes on the blue/green one, so you tried to sell me another guage and $150 to install it in the hole that shouldn't be there, way cool guy!) You were out getting lunch. We expected to see BOATS, not hulls. Yeah, then I went to the truck and got my first beer, shoulda brought a bottle. Never threw one on your crummy little floor you butt!
And, about going to jail??? Yeah, you may be right there, but you wanna guess who it's going to be?
So, if you wanna get on here and post up, at least try a little truth or I will post all your emails and texts and people can see you for what you really are. You call Big Guy!
Now, do I get boats, a check, or get really ugly?

Curious to know prices on your Engine Rail kits??? do you have any foot pedals????
Very interested in seeing them and the cost of them, not too happy with mine, thinking of re-rigging the boat this winter!
Thanks!
You'd love the monogramed foot pedals from Edge Performance Marine, cut out on the pedal is EMP, all right footed too. Ron says it's ok, it should be covered by your foot! Great work!

Well I think we've covered just about everything we're going to cover as far as Edge Performance Marine, and customer boats.

Apparently there's been 3 boats built, and 3 very pissed off customers..

Ron, I asked you to come here and show the board what you guys are building, so it's with some regret at this point I'm just going to ask that we hold off on that for now.

To make this very clear.. I'm not taking sides on any of the issues.. I'm not saying someone is at fault, or this person is in the right. Point in fact the only thing I am clearly saying is "I don't give a shit."

People come on here to get away from work for 10 - 15 minutes at a time, and brighten their day a bit and get some info. This thread isn't brightening anyones day.. To date we haven't seen any information worth reading, just a whole lot of FU's back and forth.

I hope you guys get your issues worked out one way or the other, and I hope at the end of the day some nice boats are produced.

If and when some nice boats are produced and we got some happy customers, then we'll pick it up then.

Im still waiting from "Belinda Villa":blah: to get with me about the cost of the Rail kits, plates and pedals, but im still curious to know if they are the same as the ones from Ronco ind. Esq. Inc. if so, I know a guy that will give me a great deal for the same product! anyone interested in plates, rails, and or pedal assy. i can patch you through to the "Guy", and the middle man will be eliminated! not trying to be a Douchebag, its just business! no bashing of any sort towards EMP Raceboat co. but its nice to know that it was actually possible to build a guy an affordable river/lake boat just before greed and ego got in the way!:thumbsdown
Kinda reminds me of that old joke (I probably have it wrong cuz im shitty with jokes! lol), the one about the one old, and young bull on the top of the hill looking down at all of those cows, just waiting to be dealt with..... seems that there was alot of fuckin' going on for just a few boats!
anyway, hope everyone gets paid, and product gets moving for the sake of all involved! just plain shitty!
P.S. Belinda get at me girl!!:deadhorse:

I don't think I understood any of that?

Is This Belinda person is somehow tied in with Ron? (I'll admit the Belinda thing seems weird to me.. very weird actually.. Random girl wants to sell rigging parts, but doesn't know anything about boats or the parts?)

Your right about not being able to tell jokes.. Young bull / old bull.. Young one says "Lets run down there and go screw one of those cows" Old bull says "Lets walk down and screw em all"

no,she's not "tied in" with Ron. i do know he talked to her about some parts, but ended up knowing "on some level" the source of her parts. i do agree her approach seemed a little unusual, but i do admire her desire to work and do something to support herself and kids, alot of people in the world just expect a hand out. i say good for her for trying.[and no i dont know her]

No he has not. From what I have been told, the people that built the hull have not been paid for it by Ron. So until Ron pays them, Justin gets no boat.

I was told that Justin went last week to pick it up because he was told it was finished and ready for pick up. When he got there is when it got interesting to say the least. He went over to where the hull is at and that is where he found out what was actually going on. Needless and sad to say, Justin came home with an empty trailer.

Why is this surprising to anyone. It's pretty much always been this way with less-than-solvent builders. Use customer B's deposit to finish customer A's boat. It works unless you blow the money to start customer C's boat, and don't have enough $$ to finish customer A's boat to get the rest of the money to catch back up on customer B.

Bottom line, if you a builder doesn't have the $$ or credit to build your boat without your deposit, they're already dancing on the edge.

and not only that,i have seen in the past very notable builders use the same tactic, even more so in todays market.

I was given a "heads up" about this thread's posts pertaining to me this morning. Sorry Todd that I missed it.

Apparently there may be some confusion about the parts that I am going to offer up for sale. Going to = I don't have the parts yet. I have a friend, who wishes to remain nameless for the time being, that contacted me about selling and promoting some high performance jet boat parts for him. No one would even know that I will be offerring these parts had my silent partner not asked me to post up a thread asking for potential buyer's opinion's. You will not find rail kits up for sale by me anywhere, it's because I don't have them (yet). You'll find 2 parts, which I do have, listed on a well known auction site but those are all of the parts that you will find for sale by me. I listed those 2 parts mainly just so they would be seen by potential customers. I'm bugging my silent parnter every other day for parts, when I have them you'll definately see them.

Thanks for the interest and sorry for the multiple thread jacks!

Oh snap, another thread jack.

What would you like to know about boats and/or their parts?

Belinda, I got about a million things on my plate right now. I look forward to seeing what you have to offer..

On that note, all the cloak and dagger, (My partner wishes to remain nameless) gives me the heeby jeebies.. I guess if the parts are good, and priced fairly then who cares right?

The idea of my wife (whom also knows a little about boats) selling rail kits / rigging kits, and custom machined parts would scare me to the point of turning my hair grey.. and I own a machine shop. I guess that's what i'm saying.

I would buy that boat on craigslist if I had the ca$h. I would think that even repaired it would be in much better shape than a 30+ year old daytona. The late 70's daytona's are going for more than that brand new 2010 cheyenne. just my $0.02 fwiw.

I am not even sure what this means?

It's a mis-qouted line from the movie "Tommy Boy" with David Spade and Chris Farley. Great movie. "You can get a good look at a T Bone steak by sticking your head up a bull's ass but wouldn't you rather take the butcher's word for it?"

"You can stick a guarantee on a box but the guarantee don't mean sh!t if the box has sh!t in it..." is another line from the same movie. :D

Don Kirby, now there's a name I haven't heard in a long time! if he built it it was a long time ago. Im guessing while he was at Warlock?so its not a Cheyenne at all? why wouldn't he have started a new thread?

Kirby tooled for almost everyone if you look at the lines of that boat
its like the carrera 25- 27 models that mold has been sitting around
for years god only knows where he dug it up from. I did hear it does
work well kinda like a daytona bottom

Good job guys!!!! i am impressed!!! I talked to Dennis and they were his creation. My partner purchased the mold 3 years ago so we laid this one up. We kept it simple and clean with a little old school. We ran it in Bakersfeild and it ran 10.1 its second time out. With the lighter lay up we just moved the motor up. Ran it on Monday and it feels real good.We also purchased the Place craft 19 tunnel the one Tim place set the record in or Tom Peterson use to rig. let me know and i will post some pics of the build if you like? i am not sure what the rules are here and i dont want to piss of anyone like this cheyenne guy but you guys can let me know. thanks BAKER

At this point RD should kick this thread to the curb, IMO, a smart man in the forum business once told me, manufactures should avoid getting caught up in the forum politics, it can swallow up all your time, and eat you alive with all the "he said she said"..... It's tough out there, I wish Ron well...;)
