My wife is in the same boat as yours, her Dr. even told her no way in hell are you getting the vaccine. Her and I both had Covid last year, she was in the hospital with double pneumonia, I was just had a very bad cold. We both believe we have a better immunity to the virus then some non-approved vaccine, that doesn't appear to even keep you from catching the virus.

We can survive without her paycheck, or she can move to the river and work in AZ, and travel back and forth or vice-versa until I retire in a couple years.

My wife commutes now, 4 days on, 10 off. She retires in January, havasu pay is ridiculous for nurses, my wife makes 5 times what they pay here.

Do we shut down again and continue this financial fiasco that we are in? You get the jab and risk side effects / still can get COVID?

If i die from covid, does that make her the exception or the rule?

Its tragic and I feel for everyone who has lost a loved one. My view isn’t politics, it’s personal and I’m tired of putting my life, and my families life on continual hold for shit that doest work and has no end on sight.

I agree with everything you said, but the damn masks don’t work and it won’t end until it runs thru the population and makes its rounds. The vaccine might help, hell it better if they’re now at the point where we’re seeing it be mandated for normal life. I haven’t gotten it because I’ve had covid, haven’t got it since despite being exposed like 5 times so I believe immunity is real. I’m in no rush to get it till it’s approved and vetted, there’s no need in my case.

Nothing but a 100% “no exceptions” lockdown will stop it and nobody is willing to do that, or enforce that, and that has already been tried twice in CA with “essential worker” exceptions for everything imaginable, which makes it a failure.

So if masks don’t work, and lockdowns can’t continue after 18 months....at what point do you have to let it run ?

I won’t get it, but I’m glad my parents did who are overweight, smoked the majority of their lives, and have diabetes. At 37, working out almost ever day, no underlying health complications, there isn’t much of a reason for me to risk it.
