T
Any updates Paul you are killing us.
Sorry I haven’t giving you guys any updates. Here’s what’s going on.

Todd is making sure everything is perfect before he puts the boat together. He also eliminated the center console in the inner liner so he had to modify that mold as well. Good news is everyone behind me will be much quicker because all of the changes have been made bad news is I’m the guinea pig.
Hoping it Will be together by the end of the week.
I have to say this thing is built like a tank. The workmanship is awesome !!!

Is it 'race' legal, prop shaft height, etc?

Talon number #2
Not to hijack Paul's thread, but instead of starting a new one I thought I'd land it here. This is the second Talon 22XL outboard coming out of the mold following Bully's. This boat will be 400r powered.

Awesome! Look forward to hearing your thoughts on this hull. Definitely will have you on your toes a bit more than the 28.

Maybe.....130 in one and 105 - 110 in a smaller one.....thrill factor could be similar.

Very true in those terms...the speeds attainable today are unbelievable.

Looks really nice.

Do you have a weight on this package now that it's done?

Are you setting this one up with a Cleaver or a Max5?

I buddy of mine told me a Pro Max prop works great on his Talon 22 400r combo

A friend I've been comparing notes with that has a 23 Daytona like mine with a 400R on it ran a 28 ProMax, and it ran 93, and the 28 Max5 ran 97.6. He's an engineer and logged all his speed and rpm numbers at even intervals and was blown away by how little slip the 5-blade had. His center pod has a hook in it, I'm pretty sure if he took that out and learned his boat a little more it would be at 100 with the 28, may need a 29.

The Cleaver will get you in the 4-6% range but for a price. A ProMax is pretty good value. The Max5 does everything right and is as close to a Cleaver as you're going to get, I think.

Looking forward to seeing this thing run! I'm guessing you'll be 1-7/8" to 2-1/8" above bottom.

Seven hours on the boat today. 31 five blade Dewald was the best so far. Probably need to go with a 30 pitch. Need to get more rpm

Awesome boat! Saw you gassing up at Campbell’s and then launching at Windsor, admiring the entire time.

Awesome set up Bully. The XL looks proportionally better with the 400R than the SS in my view. You also look tucked down in the cockpit better.

I was really surprised how deep that Talon looked when the seats were in. Very surprised.

Bully, how's the wind deflection at speed sitting that low and relatively close to the "windscreen"?

I really like the colors on this green boat. Who's doing the interior? Where will this rocket be run mostly?

Great choice KMG, hope to see it in person someday. Our buddy in Discovery Bay has a 400r Talon, it's the perfect Delta boat, carves turns, no porpoise, great boat.

I can’t wait to get it in the water. Bully’s Talon rides great!
I can’t believe how well they turn. In a 22 foot tunnel I think they are gonna be fun boats.
