New member & boating newbie

Hi all,
Looking forward to being part of the RDP community.
I am just getting in to boating. Been on the water a bit in other folks boats when I was younger, & now that I am older (& not necessarily wiser), looking for one of my own.

If anyone out there has a rig they are looking to sell, here's a bit of my criteria:

1972-78
-Miller, Rogers, Sanger or Bahner
-18-19'
-clean original condition
-BBC if possible, BBF o.k. too
-Berkely jet

I have up to $8,000 for the right boat.

That's a nice looking float, but not quite what I am looking for.
Guess I should have added more details to the criteria, like : closed bow, non day cruiser, under 20'.
1970's boat.
Looking for a fast, fun, 4 passenger jet.
Trying to keep it simple for my first rig.

Been to the classified section, waves. Nothing there that fits the bill at the moment....

Quick question: Would it be cool to post boats I am looking at (on Craigslist, etc. ) in order to get folks opinions? If so, where on RDP would be appropriate to do that?

For jet boats , u might want to look over at
SoCal jet boat website. They are so cal guys which I think you are too.

A lot of and basically all jet guys hang over there, They eat and breath jet boats. They are a good bunch of guys that will help you in any way they can ,, not taking anything away from rdp , jus not as big as a jet place as over there.

Royalty - no!

My son used to watch a lot of sponge bob as a kid and around the time I signed up, my son used to call me sirbob all the time - it just popped in my head when signed up.

People do it all the time, great way to get Feedback and learn a little history. I could b wrong but I think people post to the lounge because it gets the most traffic. Maybe start one thread and keep posting ads to that one.
