Have a great rig! Everyone posting here does. Our rig is far from badass but we LOVE it View attachment 957206
Would cutting the snout off my offshore like that do anything but make it a little more noisy? I don't run the little exhaust palate in my offshores either. Great rig!
I would like to run with you in the Lower River Run this year. Those 280's? Great boat.
They are 260's, I overheated 1 of my motors last year at the Lower River Run, hopefully have it back together for this years run.I would like to run with you in the Lower River Run this year. Those 280's? Great boat.
That sucks. I assume sand plugged up your intakes? They are 260's, I overheated 1 of my motors last year at the Lower River Run, hopefully have it back together for this years run.
I have transom water pick-ups and the line got kinked stopping the water flow. Joe at Hot Laps in Havasu rebuilding it for me, should be done by Feb, $5000 fuck up!!That sucks. I assume sand plugged up your intakes?
I want one!!
I love your boat! We spoke a few months ago. I am actually going to put a small fuel tank up front in my Daytona (15-20) to help with my range, or extend my side tanks. Your boat has the extra tanks and I keep thinking about it. If you crawl around in it sometime, snap a couple pics for me!
Is this the guy that is on IG? I spoke to him, we are going to do ours also. It looks amazing! Great job.
Yes he is on IG Maquestas is his name. And I will get some pictures of the 2nd tanks for you also.Is this the guy that is on IG? I spoke to him, we are going to do ours also. It looks amazing! Great job.

I like your Eliminator. The back "deck" between the rear seat and transom, is this an aftermarket install or is it stock? Regardless, if you have a moment, can you take some pictures open and closed? I have a similar hull (Hallett Sport Skier) its posted in this thread, and I don't like the rear seat/battery/storage set up. Yours looks perfect....ThanksView attachment 958781

Thanks man I appreciate the kind words. I had the interior redone about 9 years ago and just told them I wanted a 2 foot hatch on the rear for storage and to get people sitting in the back away from the motor. It has really worked out well. When I go to the river next I will snap some pics the boat is stored out there.I like your Eliminator. No worries man, it's winter and boats are good no matter the power. Not a bad ass rig, but here is my float.
EDIT: Oops... I saw this on the new post screen and didn't realize this was the Outboard Church.

1987 Eliminator 23 Daytona restomod 400R
Fresh interior and hatch from the original Checkmate factory, 900W Polk Audio amp, Polk Audio 10” subs, a pair of Infinity 6.5” speakers up front and a pair of 6”x9” Infinity speakers in the rear. Good balance of budget, weight, and sound. The subs are in boxes in the gunnels firing into the cabin.
Just added spray rails and a center pod from a 30 Speedster, sprayed gel 2 nights ago and waiting to block sand it out, flip it over and run it to check out the changes.

Thanks! The holes under the bow are for docking lights. It's a polarizing subject. People either love them or hate them. I personally don't care for them but they were there from original and fit the vibe of the boat; plus I replaced the darn things with new ones and after spending the money, and there's a lasered name for the switch on the dash, I'm keeping them. If I did it all over again I would ditch them, but I originally was nervous about making that repair and matching gel. Obviously that doesn't phase me anymore, but what's done is done, so they're staying. What are those patches under the bow for?
BTW I LOVE going back and reading through your build thread. extremely impressive work.
ok, i'll bite....why lights under the boat? maybe I could see on a dive/rescue boat but a pleasure boat ? looks like another access point for water to gain entrance adding one more trouble spot. I admit they look cool when on at night but other than that, is there an actual purpose? Thanks! The holes under the bow are for docking lights. It's a polarizing subject.
