Just picked this up and plan to do a classic restomod build. The good is it has a muncie 4spd, new suspension and brakes, and beautiful paint and interior. The bad is some crappy rust repair in the smugglers box, and the lower cowl where the fenders bolt to the body.

I ordered the sheet metal, which will be the first issue I'll address. Then I'll start addressing the fun stuff like motor, exhaust and wheels. I ordered some center caps and beauty rings for the current wheels, but I'll probably upgrade to 17" rally wheels at some point.

As for the motor, I'm trying to decide between a healthy NA 383, or blown 383. I've always wanted a street car with a 671 through the hood.

Very cool!

If your going to do a blower, just go with a mild 350. You'll have more than enough power for the street!

Thanks for the compliments. I updated the wheels, and I'm really happy with the look.

Also pulled off a valve covers and determined I have some decent double hump heads (3782461)with roller tipped rocker arms. I'll be starting a different thread for the motor, as I've never built a sbc. I've built some big blocks, and a few sbf's, but this will be my first 350

Yours is a bit further along mine. I actually saw it at the recent Newbury Park Cars and Coffee. Beautifully done.
Thanks if you are that close stop by the shop sometime.
