Nice! Make sure you get a big enough toon so that the merc 400 doesn’t pop the bow up too much [emoji848]

Congrats. Like the white/grey color combo

Ours is going to be frost white on the outside where the gray is on the pictured boat.. Interior is gray with silver accents. White Merc400..

Haven’t followed the trend toons are taking, I will say this is quite different and very appealing. Nice Choice!

Nice toon, although the windshield is bothering me. Maybe it will grow on me.
Congrats and many years of enjoyment

When we started looking at going to a toon, the wife and I both said a full windshield is a must.. we like to have some of the wind deflected when at speed.

Makes sense. Guess I didn't think of the wind, more of the cosmetic look. [emoji106] [emoji4] [emoji202]

Very nice, what dealer are you getting it from? I have yet to see this new model in person.

Ordered it from Johnson Marine in Ontario. They didn't have that model at the dealer. We crawled through many other models they had with similar interiors. We went with the Excalibur model because that was the only model they offered with the full windshield and the electric rear loungers. It came down to the Benningtons or the Avalons and we went with the Avalon based on the interiors options and type/colors of the flooring offered.

I’m really liking the rear loungers! What will cruising & top speed be with the 400 Merc?

Very nice. We picked up an Avalon last June and have been very happy with its quality. Congratulations on the new sled.

As a comparison

I just checked your dry weight is 5,000lbs plus motor & fuel and people /stuff

My 23 Crest does 50 ish and it’s 2,000 lbs plus motor and fuel and people /stuff and I have a 350 merc

I hope your boat does 60! It’s sure is nice to be cruising and then go to pass somebody and still have a ton of power to get around em. As people have said before it’s like driving your couch very comfy and easy.

One of the things I noticed on our boat is the wind noise is loud, so the windshield should cut out a lot of that.

Your boat looks awesome! Congratulations

I was told 60... Hoping for 55. Boat is big, 28-29' without the motor

60? You might be disappointed. My Avalon with that same bottom style logs is 25' with a 300. 45mph max is all it sees with 2 people on board and 1 ice chest.
You have 2 more feet and probably 600 pounds more.
I'm going with 52mph.
Which is plentyyyyyyy. You will rarely go over 40

Like I said, hoping for 55. I'll take whatever it gives me.. If I was that worried about speed I wouldn't have made the switch to a toon, or bought one with twins.

On a side note: I did get the option to have the toons filled with helium which should get me a little additional speed.

The great thing is that 400 will barely be working at a fast pontoon cruise speed. Over 45 is hauling ass

They will sell anything someone is willing to pay for. in the real world, that would mean literally a few pounds. But hey, if someone is dumb enough to pay for it.........

Why not? I got them to give me half off and only paid $2,500 for the option.

I also got them to throw in some blinker fluid and thru transom exhaust for the outboard for a couple extra MPH.

HA!

Very nice boat! I have a Playcraft and the best I've seen is 47mph.....and everyone says they do 50-55. Doesn't matter, if the boat would do 100 I'd still only drive it at 32 :)

Very nice boat. Yes these toon boats eat of HP.

I like the idea of having a small wind break. It can get windy!

Did you look at putting a Yamaha V8 on the back. I like the idea of the small V8 for torque when pushing these toons around. In Florida I saw many Yamaha 350s on the back to toon boats.
