So damned excited to pick up our new to us 2008 Skater 308 with twin 300XS motors. The entire boat and motors have 45 hours on them. It sits on an awesome aluminum trailer. It is exactly what we were looking for so we can launch 1/2 mile from our house and hit the Delta or SF Bay almost anytime. It's been stored inside all of its life and it shows. We get to pick it up tomorrow. I will post much better pictures once we pick it up.

That's bad ass!! Did you sell your boat then? or add to the fleet?

I'm curious about that wind deflector deal I'm seeing in the pics.. Factory? Or did someone add that?

We sold our 25 Daytona about 6 weeks ago to a guy in Massachusetts. The clear pop up electric wind deflectors are from the factory. The seller is very tall and was trying to make some larger wind deflectors so you can probably see his template in a few pics. We live on the Carquinez Straits and it can get pretty rough. I never wanted to bring the Daytona to the salt water plus there are very few days that a 25 Daytona should be messing around in this area. Yes, there are days you can run out to the Bay in almost anything but if the wind picks up you would need to find a marina and go get your trailer.

I don't know yet. We hope to pick it up later today or tomorrow. I'm trying to learn all of the props spinning in and out fun stuff. Rayzor has been a huge help.

Absofrickenlutely!!! But thank you very much for the reminder. We ran our 23' cabin cruiser with some friends up to Napa last Saturday for lunch and you really have to follow markers and tides.

Please school me on IN vs Out ???? I'm not looking to gain any mph on the top end. I fully realize this boat will probably never get past 100mph and really don't care. We bought this boat to have a nice riding cruiser so we can easily run 60 or 80mph all day without killing it, when the water is decent. Where we boat the water can go from flat to 4-5' wind chop pretty quickly and we wanted something big enough to be able to get home.

You should see >100 LP, I'd say 105-110 light on weight.
Edit, I thought it was a 28', but I still bet it cracks 100.

Doesn't really matter, I've heard that in is faster and out handles better or was it the other way around?

In is typically faster but it all depends on the boat. Out is easier around docks. How was it set up from original owner ?
