Finally a guideline that makes a miniscule bit of sense. Restrictions based on ICU capacity by region. If the Capacity reaches 15% remaining lockdown begins. Not tests, not made up numbers but actual number of beds available. The whole point of lockdowns was to make sure our medical facilities were not overrun. Sounds logical and makes sense to make sure that if someone needs an ICU bed it is available.

We have a much better handle on this virus than we did back in March. Remedesvir and steroid cocktails are having great success on keeping people off of ventilators. For the people who need it the average hospital stay is now 5 days and death rates continue to fall.

Here comes the but.... The regions that they are basing this on has nothing to do with hospital capacity by region. Take a look at this map and see if you can spot any issues....

What the hell does Inyo and Mono County ICU beds have to do with San Diego County ICU beds?

In the meantime they are going to force my wife as a RN at a hospital to get the first wave of the vaccine.... Great... Hopefully the only side effect is a third boob.

Actually if you think about it they could save us. Basically they have almost no cases up there so we can screw them over, but with the ICU beds in the rural/semi rural areas being empty, could help us.

Except when a rural hospital has 2 ICU cases the hospital is considered full. They play it to they're narrative every time.

ICU’s in the state normally run at 70%. It’s impossible to hit 15%.

The math is if they increase to 85% of operating capacity, ie 15% capacity remaining, it would go into effect.

What does ICU capacity have to do specifically w/ COVID ICU.

They should be looking strictly @ COVID ICU.... because now if a certain region has a jump in ICU capacity due to flu / heart disease, you name it.... we are in a covid lockdown.

WTF - this will kill the rest of the economy. How was this passed.

When the stay-at-home order is triggered for a region, the state will order the closure of all hair salons and barbershops, bars, breweries and distilleries, casinos and indoor and outdoor playgrounds. Restaurants will be limited to take-out and delivery only, while retailers must limit customers inside their stories to 20% capacity during the busy holiday shopping season. Schools with waivers will be allowed to remain open, along with “critical infrastructure.”

Newsom said the state will also restrict non-essential travel, but he gave no immediate details.

Wow.
This fucking guy and his ghouls just continue to ass rape the state and it's people and it looks as though Stockholm Syndrome has taken full effect.
Nobody does fuck all.
They will never stop until their agenda is fully implemented.
By then it will be too late.
If it isn't already by now.

Thinking out loud.... I keep hearing about illegals coming across the border being treated in the hospitals....
I wonder if its possible to find out the percentage of out of country patients vs. legal American citizens...

This is happening at my brothers hospital, he's is south San Diego county. Even when the numbers were low they were getting many of their patients from the Mexicali/Calexico area. He mentioned that they did not trust going to their own hospital. I didn't get a percentage from him but the indication was the majority of the patients were of Mexican decent.

Overnight campgrounds too. Wonder what this will do to my NYE Pirates Cove trip. Hopefully they give him the bird and stay open.
