Finally a guideline that makes a miniscule bit of sense. Restrictions based on ICU capacity by region. If the Capacity reaches 15% remaining lockdown begins. Not tests, not made up numbers but actual number of beds available. The whole point of lockdowns was to make sure our medical facilities were not overrun. Sounds logical and makes sense to make sure that if someone needs an ICU bed it is available.
We have a much better handle on this virus than we did back in March. Remedesvir and steroid cocktails are having great success on keeping people off of ventilators. For the people who need it the average hospital stay is now 5 days and death rates continue to fall.
Here comes the but.... The regions that they are basing this on has nothing to do with hospital capacity by region. Take a look at this map and see if you can spot any issues....
What the hell does Inyo and Mono County ICU beds have to do with San Diego County ICU beds?
In the meantime they are going to force my wife as a RN at a hospital to get the first wave of the vaccine.... Great... Hopefully the only side effect is a third boob.
