What do you classify it as? It's a head scratcher at best. It's a pwc with attachments.

Ya and the PWC controls your height , you control other movements.

Edit: I just looked closer at the video and those are different than the one we watched at steamboat.

They look like fun, don't think I'll be trying one anytime soon.
The flyboards look like constant pressure out the jets and you control direction by rotating your feet at the ankles.

I could see the safety issues with using one in the channel on a crowded day, not to mention getting lake water sprayed into your drink.

I was trying to go into the north side of the channel yesterday and the douche nozzle was doing his thing right at the bouy by the entrance. Several boats had to alter course to keep from hitting him or him hitting a boat.

There was a houseboat camped across from us on our Powell trip this week and one of the guys staying on the boat had one of these setups. The owner and his buddy were really good at it, they could actually do backflips and land them.
