I just got a call from the boys at Nordic. They’re ready. I’m jumping in my plane we’re going boating this afternoon !!!! :D

I sure am glad I spent the night polishing stainless. LOL.

Good thing I have an autopilot. My heads already going to be swirling around the controls.

Wow, that was fast!! Seems like 3 days ago they were shipping back a damaged motor!

Hoping it’s awesome!

Stunning boat. Great lines and very complementary gel coat design and colors.

Wouldn’t the height be set the same as the 400 boat?

Hmmm, I was wondering if it had hydraulic or manual lifts. Sitting nicely with the 450s.

Put her in the water everything worked perfectly. Per Mercury’s instructions they wanted us to keep it below 6000 RPM until they are in the boat to set it up. So we did that. As hard as it was. 113°. Probably 75 to 80% humidity. 100 mph with the props we had which are not the correct props. Correct props will be here Saturday. Along with Mercury Racing tech.

Bully, are those 20" mids? Almost look like there is a 5" spacer in them. If not, maybe the designed for an easy 15" mid later. Lol!

There are far too many differences between the 2 set-ups. The motors weight more, the torque curve of the engine could allow for different prop selections and different prop styles run best at different heights as well.

I'm sure the midrange acceleration was quite noticeable with the 450s. The hull is probably much more responsive to throttle inputs now. Look forward to you getting her set up per Bully standards.

So, a 35ft boat, two fresh motors (not tuned, right out of the box), wrong props, wrong height, and bad air...and she went 100mph. That is on a new level of awesome! Not bad for a shakedown run! I can't wait to see the numbers when you get it dialed in:D

So another 400 RPM to stretch things out. What props were on it?

The 450s weigh less than the 400’s don’t they?

Soo when he dropped all the money mercury send the techs? Or did he bully them to send them? Haha I’m new around these parts but I see he’s got the pennies to be able to have them bring the boys to set it up right.
What a badass! Hope it’s there for dcb regatta. I’m bringing my rugrats with me. My kids are happy with my 23 year old eliminator 230 eagle I can’t wait to see there faces when they see boats of this caliber on the water!

Merc usually assists MFG’s with setup and props the first time around.
Nordic does enough business, plus Merc Racing wants the MFG to be successful.

Would be cool if mother Merc had a tech on site that is helping with all the computer wizardry. The 400s are about 668 Lbs and these 450s are in the 720 Lb range.

Hmm, 720lbs as they sit? A BBC with aluminum heads is about 550ish, add exhaust and intake and they seem to jump quite a bit. I really have no idea what a Bravo, or the other drives weigh, but guessing more than a 100lbs. Pricey, but seem like a good package:)

Every build that is brand-new with new power has a complete learning curve. I remember all of my different projects over the years. Always and adventure....thats the fun part.
And then when you do something no one else has ever done that's the dessert with ice cream.

I'm extremely happy how the first splash went. Two guys hundred gallons of fuel . Freaking ugly miserable hot shitty humid air....yuck :D

Next test sesión will be early AM.
