Nordic 48 breaks 110 mph on initial testing!

Yeah, It’s just a little strange. Starts off with a quick update on a new build and turns into a shit show. True, pretty sure I’ll never be able to afford the 48’. I could say the same with every new DCB build, but still love to see what they’re doing. Probably true, proven hulls and builders are faster. Not sure why it matters but oh well. Nordic builds a beautiful boat. The 28SS, 34 deck and the 35SS are on my list of lottery builds. Hell, I’m kinda waiting for them to get tired of the 40’ and dump it for next to nothing.

I think this 48 is awesome and would rock it in the Delta where I hail from anytime. When I think about it being 20’ longer than my Bullet 28 that would would be cool.

So I’m curious, anyone know what this boat is next to the plug for the new 48’? Cause the bow sure looked identical as did the rear with exception the rear bustle on the Nordic plug is about 3’ longer wonder if they didn’t start with a semi splash then build on from there.

Based on the plug alone the bustle is large but not as dramatic as some have made it out to be. Only looked from there to be like 23’ long. Oh wait, sorry 4.5-5’ long.

Gotcha, that makes more sense, i was just looking at the rise etc in the bow and looked extremely similar but why change something they already know works.

They built 2 of these. The first one is the one with the long bustle. (Pictured). The other has a more traditional molded swim step. Neither are set up to Run big numbers, they are ski race boats. Both are Randy's / Nordics, not sure if they ever sold the 2nd one. The 48 is for more traditional boaters. I heard they already sold 3-4 behind Randy's personal boat, so they are probably looking for something to target the Fountain, Donzi, Outerlimits Market.
