Sick!!! What will that see speed wise?

Throw a tower and some huge ballast in that thing and it'll be ready to go.

SKI racing or Drag racing!

The ones with the 6 drive are probably better for drag racing.. no chance of breaking an outdrive.

I went in the yellow Nordic with the pfaff motor in it and that thing pulled so hard I had to hang on or go right out over the transom! Lol

Bad ass!

Whats the story on 2 drives?

Less chine walk, and I believe it helps to knock down more water for the skier.

I have only been in the #6 drive boats that were a different hull than this one.

This boat was specifically built for Todd Haig to ski behind at the worlds in France, Todd will be racing Catalina behind the big 47’ #191 Nordic like he normally does
Thanks! Hope to see some of the smaller boats out there this year too

Looks like Nordic is bringing their A game for boats- do other countries/participants bring equipment like this as well or is Nordic leading the pack?

The two drives helps stabilize the boat the in the rough water, like RD said, less chine walking. Also, it really helps knocking down the water for the skier along with the HUGE ballast tank in the belly and nose. The torque of the drives helps push the boat through the rough shit. This boat is purpose build for rough shit, not speed...the other F1 boat with the single #6 drive would hit 135+ (my guess) with the right prop.

I’d say Randy’s Davis and Nordic Boats have have been leading the back for a long time, he’s pretty much perfected these boats, but there are still some badass boats coming out of Australia headed to the worlds

Good Lord!

Boat is unreal. Skiers are other worldly!

I did my share of dock starts at Arrowhead but never seen a DECK start!

Raceski bindings have to be put on out of the water. The skier then gets dumped into water and 200+ ft of ski line has to be run out all while on a clock. It’s all an orchestra between driver observer and skiers. Practice practice practice

So the winner of a ski race is the skier with the fastest boat? I mean, all things being equal, whats the upside for the guy with the second fastest boat? Don't get it......

At the elite level yes it is almost a boat race. There are classes though like by age, sex and boat class. These are normally more skier skill

These races run about an hour long. So the skier needs the endurance to hold the pace. Race isn’t won in the first 15 minutes. So even if your boat isn’t as fast, your skier can still hold a pace and reel in a faster boat that might have got a jump in the beginning.

Yep. I did my ski racing at Arrowhead. Simple drop in and idle out, wait for the green flag.

That indeed is a practice made perfect!

Saying you are the second, third or fourth fastest skier in the world doesn't exactly have a bad ring to it. ;)

Circle races were not so time dependent. There was a 5 minute gun then skiers were dropped in line for deep water start. Those Aussie river races are all on a clock

I keep coming back to look at this thing. It's bad ass. Is the engine moved forward for balance, or the dual drive coupler?
