This is a daily ritual, after Sebastian eats His stew (instapot carrots, green beans, yams and chicken or liver) He waits for His beef rib bone (bone shards removed) Rhonda gives it to him and sets the timer for 6 minutes, He goes out side and when the timer rings He brings back the stripped off remains and gets a greenie (for his breath ;) )... at 7 minutes or so if left alone his jaws are powerfull enough to start crushing the actual bone , Is My dog spoiled ? The Grocery store people comment "wow nice ribs you going to grill them, No they are for my dog ;)

My dog will shatter a bone and then eat the shards which is not good.

I would love to but our mastiffs start crushing bone almost immediately and don’t want to give it back.

Raw? Or cooked?
I’ve always heard raw is fine?
Cooked, a piece broke off one end and lodged in his esophagus at the stomach. He couldn't eat and could barely get water past it. They were afraid to try and extract it out but had a fear of the sharp edges tearing his esophagus. In turn they elected to "push" it into his stomach. That worked but they weren't sure if he had enough enzymes to break the bone down to pass it. Fortunately it work and it was only $$$ I could have spent on the boat. 😁
