I know a couple members just bought new toys for the season.. I'm still working on getting some welding done on mine, but made a few modifications on it in the mean time! :)

So what'd ya get? What are you changing from last season?

I added one of those particle filters to my rig.. haven’t even run it yet and am completely regretting this purchase. It was 5-600 bucks and the thing is annoying as hell and LOUD!

Strongly recommend staying with the factory air setup.. I’m keeping the stick parts and if it’s proves to be that annoying it will get taken off and sold.

Just did the Walker Evans sway bar shocks. Assault high clearance radius rods and a new transmission. Ready to go for the season.

When I’m out the ole 5 TON is there to unstick anything up to around 65,000 lbs of stuck motor home/trailers.

I should leave my cell here for people to call for help lol,

yes you should! you usually in Glamis? lol
is that your tow rig, or your toy?

Pulling front axle apart to replace an axle seal. Front of the motor coming apart to find an oil leak behind the timing belt cover. Need to fabricate some rear leaf spring brackets to raise the front a little more.

I added a iPad mount for my GPS on the old exploraptor.

Other than that it was a lot of cleaning and fixing things. That wasn’t working right. 4x4 all new window regulators and motors, some electrical stuff etc.

Now that I know it will fit in a container. Ordering a 40’er for the property we stay at to keep the rhino and pre runner in.

Are those the Tusk beadlocks? Are they as heavy as advertised? I have heard they are 18lbs a wheel, but I suspect that may be the shipping weight.

I can't speak for Tusk beadlocks, but Tusk dirt bike wheels are every bit as heavy as advertised. Built like a brick shit house, but quite heavy.

I bought a 2016 RZR XP41K a few weeks ago.

It was mostly stock with Shock Therapy suspension, and a roof with lightbar.

I rewired the lightbar as it was running off the accessory wire and added a fuse block and bus bar for accessories. Added a lighted license plate mount and horn for street legality. I added a lift back spare tire setup, aluminum lower doors, door bags, new SafeGlo whip, really bright interior light, lighted switches and switch panels, rear center bump seat, harness pass throughs in the stock seats, and 3 inch PRP 5 point harnesses. I also de stickered it.

I changed all the fluids, and threw in new filters and spark plugs.

I also have lowered front seat bases coming and am looking at the Walker sway bar links and adjustable rear sway bars.

I am casually looking for tires and wheels. I may also mod the clutch and get a reflash after I run it a bit.

Yes I figured the Cheap Light Strong - pick two analogy was at play here.

I think I can get a set of Method beadlocks for around $600 shipped.

What do the reviews say about these tusk beadlocks? My parents have the "desert edition" rzr with the polaris factory beadlocks and they all have a slow leak. Wondering if that's just the nature of the beast with beadlocks or if we can replace them with a better set.

My commander was modeled after this one. I know these machines inside and out!

Awesome, I helped work on this car to get it certified for BITD. I know a lot about this car and he is throwing in all of the spare parts he has for it and a flatbed trailer. This commander is going to allow me to get the wife interested in getting back into off-road. We had dirt bikes and quads for a while but when our boys got older they lost interest and she did too. I want an X3 but this will do for now.

After 4 years and $12K later I think I’m done modifying my 2015 XP1K4, lol. Pretty much going to try to keep it down to Oil Changes and maybe some new paddles this season. I have a boat that needs some major tlc this winter so all my budget is going that direction :D

Does anyone else think these particle filters are annoyingly loud? I didn't even know it had a fan in it when I bought it.. I thought air pressure just spun something around in there and it kinda filtered that way.

I have a ton of little Gremlins I need to work out. Haven't been able to get rid of the parasitic draw even after a full rewire to my accessories so it's back to the drawing board on that.
I'm also having clutching issues to where the belt isn't cycling thoroughly throughout the rpms so new clutch comes in tomorrow.
Last thing is throwing the cheap eBay special amp in the trash and installing the new kicker PX380.4

There are guys that rave about the particle seperator and it does work.
But the cheap bastard that i am I just got the sheet of a/c filter and cut it to fit under my frog skins and sprayed some KN oil on them.
Amazing the dust it collected and my main filter barely had any dust on it.
I have the bilge blower for the belt cooling and the filter on the left is for the clutch and actually more dirt than the motor side

Loving this idea. I was sitting around last week trying to figure out what to use as a prefilter. Do you just have the clutch/bilge fan or do you have a belt temp gauge too?

What accessories do you have? ill bet is it something audio related. Could be the ebay amp.

Have you re built/regreased the primary and secondary yet? My primary was gummed up with petrified grease when I got it. Went to dry rollers on the primary, and cleaned/regreased the secondary, it was like a new machine.

Decided to pull the vw out after all these years and drop a Honda into the buggy. Did all the work myself to save money.

Took car out two weeks ago for its first shakedown run and all went good except for one loose terminal but power is very good in a 1600 pound car and it scoots. Decided to change out seats too

FOR SALE! $200.

Kids 49cc 2 stroke quad. Picked this up and gave it a little overhaul. With my 4 year old this thing boogies pretty good. Would probably be best for a kid a little older.

Has springs front and rear. Put a new carb on it. New gas tank. New hose. New clutch. New pull starter. Has a carbon fiber wrap and my kid picked out the fluffy seat cover. Frame is black.

As far as titles and registration I was told 49cc is considered a toy? It doesn’t have a vin. I think you can go through the dmv and get a red sticker. We usually just ride it at the park next to our house. Not sure of the brand or year. I bought it from a motorcycle dismantler out in corona as parts.

They should not really leak much at all. My Rhino has beadlocks and there are no air leaks.

I wired mine to a switch so running around town I can leave it off. At Glamis with helmets on I run the filter all of the time. Noisy little thing

4 speaker's to the 4 channel, led whip, 1 led light bar and the xm radio. Im really hoping it's the amp because I hate chasing draws like this.

The clutch is newish. Hunterworks greaseless system with orange spring. Completely rebuilt everything wetclutch out when that took a shit. New grease on the secondary with the slippery washers.
My can plate is binding for some reason. I didn't want to mess with the powdery coating so I bought a new jbs kit with od rollers to see if it would fix it or get better performance. I'm not seeing anything over 30 with the hunterworks sheeve

I am also looking for a set of paddles and razor tires for the xp1k4, for when I go to Glamis. I may also add a Parker pumper and run helmets too, not sure yet.

Sounds like a design flaw with the polaris beadlocks, we have talked to 2 other "desert edition" owners that have had the same problem.

Run some Sta Flo liquid starch in the tires (you can get it anywhere, walmart, amazon etc) put about 8-10oz in each tire. It'll stop any slow leaks.

some bead locks do leak... sometimes the wheels fault, sometimes the tire.

Oh I bet it is the XM radio. My friend has one in his car, it does the same thing.

Wow, That is weird. I have that same Hunterworks setup, mine does 50 without issue. Once you open the secondary, get the belt off and see if the primary moves in and out as it should. you might be able to solve it right there. Also make sure there are no grooves in the sheaves (You probably already know all that though).

I'll have my pops try that, thank you. We have discovered that the problem has gotten better if we retorque the ring more consistently (prep for big desert trips) but that's kind of a PITA with how many bolts are on each wheel.

I'm pretty sure it'll fix the problem... for less than 10 bucks.

remove valve stem, add 8-10oz per tire, reinstall valve stem... air up the tire and go for a drive!
I did mine before we went on a long ride for that day.... pretty much eliminated the leak

This is what the wife and I use to play in the dirt. Would love to get a four seat razor but can’t afford it right now.

Putting these on tomorrow along with a fresh air system and new helmets. I know ole RD is old school no helmets but I’m tired of eating dust.

You will love the fresh air system, having it makes rides much more enjoyable. If you haven't already, I highly reccomend a race radio and intercom setup.
