I like to cruise around on a few different web sites
top of my list is always RDP!

but I also like a few others.

the other night I was on 1911addicts and saw a Great American Thread
I thought I would share as this is just to good to just keep on one web site

a few pics to show from the thread

maybe we can all share a few of our own American Pics we stumbled across or took !!
Dont want to go political as we are a divided nation, but We Live In & Love The GREATEST Nation in the world….

I spend time looking for old pics of our town. Found this a couple years ago. You can see a garage door on the left. That is the same building we still operate out of. Built in 1917 as a Ford Dealership. Going on 105 years in the same location.

I hate to be pedantic about these things... But...

Model T's we're shipped crated within the United States as well. The small town where I grew up had a "factory" building where Model T Ford's were assembled after being dropped off by the rail road. The building is still standing and was the local Ford dealer well into the 1970's.

Back in the 80's I had a Ford Courier. I took one of the crates from the attic and used it for empty beer cans . I sadly left it in the truck when I sold it. It was one of the crates that came with the T's when it was unloaded from the train in the back lot. The box was used for remaining parts that had to be put on. The true meaning of prepping your car for delivery.

I like seeing the Ol Havasu pics -

Like when they were building the Bidge and there’s a bunch of dirt instead of the water

This one's for you --- here's looking at ya kid, your hood in 1948. ;) Hint: Road entering bottom right, Pomerado and just peeking out above middle left of pic is another clue.

Resolution of this picture is very good so at least on my desktop I can zoom in and retain good clarity.

For DLC 1948.jpg

The first pic in this thread is of the River, below Parker Dam, entering "Barefoot Alley" from the North. I also found it on the net a few years ago, and noticed t was very similar to a pic that I took a few years ago. If you compare these side by side, you can see the resemblance in features and landmarks.
