I have a 1996 Ram 2500 that needs an audio makeover. I know nothing about audio equipment. We are considering just taking it to an audio specialist when we get back to Havasu for snowbird season, but I've no idea what something that costs. I don't need a show quality stereo system, I just need something we can enjoy. The current system is crap. Our Chevy Colorado had a fantastic factory infotainment system we enjoyed.
It looks like we can get a bezel to update to a double din system for the Gen 2 Ram.
I would also like to have front and rear cameras. Truck was an infinity optioned truck so it has locations for what looks like plenty of speakers. I'm not willing to sacrifice storage in the extra cab space for a bank of speakers, I would entertain a sub under the center counsel. Dash in this truck is perfect, I don't want to risk cracking it by doing something crazy.
No idea on budget because I have no clue what this stuff is gonna cost. Looks like Kenwood has something that will do what I want for a reasonable price. No clue if it will fit with the new bezel. We don't need the ash tray so I'll happily trade it for a larger screen.
