Hearing on NPR earlier prices are skyrocketing on OJ, some sort of fungus or disease has plagued Florida growers.

Wondering if it will effect California OJ costs?

I know this won’t effect me (I know, a selfish point of view) but hey!
I pay dearly in taxes to live in the only place this won’t effect me.
I’ll just go out back and pull some oranges😎
The weather really is great 🖕😂

Yep - a guy I use to work with would eat 2 of those Cup of Noodles everyday for lunch. He ended up stroking out and dying in his mid 50’s. I think just 1 of those has enough sodium for a normal 30 day intake.

I’ve had a big glass of OJ when I wake up for as long as I can remember. In decades I probably only missed a handful of mornings.
I always have it before any coffee or anything else.
If I’m out of town I make sure to grab a small bottle the night before. I can’t imagine starting any day without orange juice.

Personally I like either Kirkland brand Vodkas (when mixing with anything) better then the Sky. I think they are 13 & 19 depending which you get.
I might be forced to just go back the Ice & some squeeze.

Noodles have been scarce for a long time in Parker. I’m guessing the snow birds buy them up, to make easy meals. With all the new brands and flavors, we’ve been loving them when we can find them.

Eat an orange😎

It has less sodium than most every fast food burger actually. I'm not saying it's healthy, but still it not as bad as what half the members here shovel into their beer bellies.

I have them about once a week.

Floridas orange production is the lowest it’s been in 75 years. A major part of this is due to the Asian Citrus Psyllid, which is a vector of the citrus greening disease. Greening kills the trees. This combined with a California orange crop that is also short, 25-40%, the availability of juice grade citrus is low. Personally I hate OJ.

Doing a quick search I find a protein style double double at 1160 mg sodium.

That hot and spicy Nissin noodles is 1800.
Put that in your orange pipe and smoke it😎😬

Double doubles are for girls, I go 3x3 minimum. WITH chopped chilies.

There’s groves all over the place?
Use to be…. Redlands got leveled for avocados and track homes, riverside got leveled for track homes. There are some but not to the magnitude there use to be nor is there enough to supply the country. I believe most of our citrus comes from out of the country now but not sure, rusty on my commodities.

While most of the Southern California acreage has been redeveloped there’s still some citrus sprinkled throughout the south land. The Central Valley of California is the single greatest producing agricultural area in the world. We are the largest and best producer of fresh citrus(not grown solely for juice) in the world. The citrus season runs from mid October through the summer with Valencia oranges running into the fall. Currently, Navel oranges, lemons, Cara Cara, mandarin’s(Cuties and Halos) and many other varieties are in season.
Offshore citrus, mostly from Chile, South Africa and Australia, is here during the summer.
Eat all the oranges you want, we’ll grow more!

I drink Evolution Fresh OJ, I get it at Sprouts. It always in stock; the price will shock you ($9.99 for 59oz) but it’s always available.

I would imagine most OJ everyone drinks is full of sugar, just like most fruit juices. I save all my Carbs and Calories for beer, I'm not proud, just sayin.
