Outboard on Craigslist in Castaic

Anyone ever buy from this guy?? Apparently he fixes up and sells 20+ per year. My buddy is interested in this Honda 90 and worked up a deal. Scheduled to go take a look on Friday. Any input or thoughts??

The motors are from 1998...they're 20 years old, they still have good compression and still run. That's more than I can say for a whole lot of other 20 year old outboards. Whats the issue? How bad can they be after running for 20 years and being healthy still at this point?

In warmer climates they are problematic with alcohol blended fuels. I'd look a few years later down the road for an efi motor. Especially if your into any form of towable water sports with the family.

I trust you, I'm just not seeing this reported much. Just a leaning issue since the factory wanted them to idle low for EPA reasons. He won't be pulling anything with this boat
