I’m in Ft Mohave.
If you also have a HF jack mine has a crossbar attached to lift and lower etc.

Thanks all. Ended up pulling it and I’ve got it propped up in the corner of my garage.

Now just need to find someone to replace my input seal.

I bought one of these a couple years ago. Very functional. He made it a bit taller for a tunnel boat. https://www.stumpysfabworks.com/boat-outdrive-jack.html
That one is super bad ass!
Mine i just whipped up in the shop, 20$ in wheels had the steel, and a strip of rubber from A&B in havasu 10$, when i had my last boat. This one is significantly taller on trailer that’s when i found the crossbar at HF to be able to attach to my floor jack. Works perfect, but now I’m wondering if i NEED the one you posted lol so simple and clean.

Thankyou, I am going to order one. Just getting old, and tired of manhandling lower units.
I did it once and said never again. Of course that was after I sliced my thigh open on the skeg manhandling it....

Consider replacing the stub shaft on the yoke assembly as well. The 2 go hand in hand

Can you give me some more info on this? Even leading up to this project I couldn’t find much, it seems like this is somewhat of a rare occurrence?

I have the tool to remove the big nut on the input shift if you need it.

Its pretty common. Its more prevalent in boats that do a lot of hard turning (watersports) or that regularly get run with the drive at higher trim levels. The yoke stub is the part of the drive that rides on that seal and when the seal starts leaking it will usually have a deep groove worn into it by the seal and then the groove will tear up any new seal you put on it in short order
