Does this 18 year old boat seem to be a little overpriced?

Cool way to one-up your billionaire buddy: Hey you only have one helipad on your boat? I have two, and a hangar!

I'd buy it but dealing with a crew of 63 is a deal breaker for me. If you watched the program on TV called Below Deck, you'd understand. Too much drama :D

At 4.89% for 20 years that’s only $1,870,000 a month.

Worthless, it wont fit under the London Bridge. Although the TWO helicopters does sweeten the deal a bit if they are included.

I can’t even afford the tender.
Wow can you imagine the operating expenses that must come with that beast?

Its all relative. Perhaps it is even a bargain. The Saudi prince bought a used yacht for $500,000,000 a few years back and it really doesn’t seem a whole lot nicer.

But does it have a submarine in it's belly ?? Anyway, after reading they put her on the rocks, I cancelled my one week for $ 5 million reservation. 😂
Wonder if that $ 5 mil includes fuel costs, or is that just tied up at berth ???
Every time I see a pic of one of these mega-yachts I immediately think of security, you've got to be a dream target of every pirate on the seas and these things aren't particularly fast. How do they protect something like these ??????

Most mega yachts have a security team that consists of ex military / special forces types. Also, many of the top largest yachts actually come with defense systems. Eclipse is rumored to have surface to air missle capabilities! And “sound weaponry” which I believe is that super high pitch directed screech sound that fuuuuucks people up.

Paul Allen used to own a home in kona Hawaii about 2 miles from our place. He’d anchor Octopus just off the shore of his pad. Wed go get coffee and a bagel at lava Java and soy on the patio and check it out.

On a side note. Octopus has 30 cabins for a crew of 63. Think of how much money it would cost to have a crew of 36. Even at a general conservative pay scale of $20 an hour that’s 12,600 for a 10 hour day for your 36 crew. I realize the captain would make way more. Security forces would probably make a little more and those like the bus boy and servants probably less. But even a general number. Eash.

Its pretty big in person. It was in Vancouver for the 2010 winter Olympics. Docked at the cruise ship terminal and it didn't look out of place. As in too small to be there.
