Painted canopies

That looks pretty cool. What kind of paint did you use? Any concerns with it reacting with the acrylic canopy material? How did you prep the canopy for adhesion, especially the silver pin that butts up against the clear?

You really meant it when you said you were getting rid of the purple lol.
Looks great, but why didn’t you just pull the canopy’s vs painting while on the boat?

It would of been a lot less work if they were off. Took the bolts out but they wouldn’t come off. I think someone urethane’s them in. Wasn’t worth risking breaking them. Only purple I am changing is the interior.

Again, nice work.

I use base clear. I masked with 3m fine line and sanded with a red scotch bright then adhesion promoter.
