This 17' Pantera boat arrived yesterday, were starting a Hull, Jet, engine, electrical and trailer resto on it this week for the customer, Gel coat will get a buff wax and "touch up" The Motor (late SBC) and Panther jet will get some serious work, customer says it runs about 30  more to follow...

What got wrapped up in there?

I'm looking forward to watching this restoration.. That thing was definately "rough" when you started!

Dave re "what that was" either a roll of paper towels or... a "super size" Feminine product?? Any how heres the Latest progress on the Pantera !
Years back I was driving from San Jose to Santa Cruz one PM (when I was doing damage inspections full time) ALAS !! I spied a rectangular red box along side the freeway , I pulled over and risk life and limb to throw it in the back of my Colt There it was a SAWZALL (without regard one of the best tools I have in my arsenal ) . A guy once told me.... "give me a Sawzall and a Hammer and I can take down a house" Anyhow the Pantera went under The "skilled Sawzall /scalpel of Doctor Josh today , out with the Panther "pod" ready for the Berkeley intake and "set back" more to follow Tom

Looks awesome Tommy. Is that aluminum that you have clamped to the boat prior to glassing made boat specific or do you have some "molds" premade?

Fantastic work as usual......john

Finally "gettin down" to it with the Pantera , got down with some trailer magic ( a little paint , some new lites and some bling) plus we lost that overhead rack thing and were just about ready for the wet test (plus we got a test pilot) !

Tom, was the pump brace just temporary? I saw the 3 point mount for the motor to pump.

"running design change" :D lots of these projects we use for "mock up" and R&D , That was however the "proto" for our JBP pump brace Tom

Cool thread Tom. You guys do nice work. What are we looking at here? The panther is wider than the berk, so are you glassing the difference?
