We are looking for recommendations for a nice late diner in Parker (8pm reservations 10-e are staying at the Bluewater. We have a group doing a ride to Parker over Presidents Weekend; the Willow is only aloud to do 10% cap.

Any recommendations would be awesome.

Strokes has been hit or miss for me lately.. I've been thoroughly impressed with pirates food.. tierra caliente in town puts out some legit dinners friday nights. Tomahawk steaks..shrimp etc.

And Dos Amigos at "THE BAR" has been doing steak and lobster on sat, but you have to call and reserve, they only do about 30.

Parker is rather limited in quality dining establishments. Strokes is a waste of time. Pirates has been good at times, others just ok for the $$ but usually run by more professional rest. type peeps (mgmt anyway) My personal opinion is China Garden is consistantly the best qualty food in town. Caliente is good too but a little inconsistant in my experience. I used to buy their rib eyes a lot but they lost tenderness and flavor so I stopped buying them. I've never had their tomahawk steak. Most other meals and food items I've had there have been good and I typically visit them at least once each 3/4 day trip out there. I would definately plan to call ahead for your stated time and group size to make sure they can accomodate your time requests. Prolly a follow up call with the MGR. The day before and or day of too.
Good luck. Lol
We're a bit particular about our dining out experiences. As a result we typically cook at home most of the time out there anymore because food quality is important to us, especially when dining out because it gets spendy pretty fast these days and paying top dollar for marginal food does not appeal to us much. The additional Indian tax on top of all else makes it that much less appealing.

Like posted above food is rather hit and miss . I would plan on keeping it simple and you will be less disappointed .

We had this debate among our group last trip. They wanted strokes i went there few weeks prior and was disappointed. Ended up at Pirates. Half the meals were good others mediocre. Same group usually only wants the springs. They said last few trips they were disappointed. I cooked the other nights Costco baby backs, filet and chicken. Safeway is hands down your best bet for quality food in Parker unfortunately.

Almost everything in Parker is hit or miss...

The only consistent good food is Crossroads.

Pirates service is absolute shit. Food is over priced and barely mediocre. Strokes is worse in every way.

There literally is no good place for dinner in Parker besides bar food or mexican food.

Last time I had pirates( races) it sucked. I figured simple to be safe. Nope. Burger cold and dry.
The mex place in Parker has been ok for me. Blue water consistent casino food.
Fox’s Roadrunner are the only places my expectations are consistently met. Hope to add Big bend.

We find the Mexican Food at Mi Tiera, corner of Riverside Dr & 95, to be some of the best around. Pirates was a disappointment. The Springs is nothing to get excited about. But, they're consistent and ok.

To clarify...Are you saying it was sold to new owners in august?
That's what I was told. The cooks walked out, (and couldn't keep one) staff changed except for 1 or 2, and didn't see them after awhile, ( We did fish chips, AZ egg roll and and salads to go through the summer! -- Couple times a week! -- When they first opened for seating inside, we tried it and it took 2 hours to get the rib special, Earlier! Our friends were in just before us and said they spent over an hour and a half for a oriental chicken salad (Had to wait because someone had to go to Parker to get the chicken to make it) Even after that we tried to (orders to go) support them thru this covid shit, but After fuk'n up a couple salads and telling me at the door no more fish (Thursdays) to go! --- Said Fook it and haven't been back.

Most all the restaurants in parker seem to suffer with the same issue...can't find reliable help. Seasonal conditions contribute to the problem significantly too. (imo) It's a rather tough market there. The family run places seem to be more consistantly "good" over the others.

Just closed? Restaurant? Whole park? That was turning into a cool place.

As mentioned, Mi Tierra on Riverside is a go to (it’s a 2 minute golf cart ride from our house).
China Harden is great, but I think it’s on land owned by the Wagon Burners so I think it’s still Take Out only. I didn’t get into town in the Evening this weekend so not sure.
Never been a fan of Strokes, always been overpriced for the quality.
Ate a El Serape for the first time in a long time about a month ago. It’s not San Diego County good but was just ok. Might work out well since you’re staying at Bluewater.
Pirates Den...Breakfast and Bloodys is ok. Pass on lunch(better off at the floating bars), dinner is a no go.
First post was right on...ate at Havasu Springs last night. All the plates are pretty darn good(did meatloaf last night). Will take reservations. Make sure you are in the dining room not the bar area.
Hit Crossroads on the way out of town for Breakfast,,,dang good Chicken Fried Steak!
Have a great time!

Restaurant and bar. Hopefully back open in May but no word. Park owner bought a old Mexican restaurant across river Eddie's old location. Going to fix up and open.

Most likely closed for winter. Buckskin would close during winter months. Same management. Rumor is owner of Emerald Cove, Big Bend, River Island etc. Purchased Parker Dam Diner (Alice's) and is going to make it a mexican restaurant w/ full bar. Same guy that purchased Blue Bar and turned it into a realty office for daughter. Likely transferring liqour license to new restaurant...

Not fancy (walk up order) but Lilly’s is always good. Not on CRIT that I know of so inside dining should be fine and no double tax. Also never had a bad breakfast burrito there.
No alcohol though.

I agree, Mi Terra has very good Mexican food.

On another note, I sure miss Whimpys, they had good burgers. Although once we did get a moth with about a 3 1/2 inch wing span stuck in the cheese on a cheeseburger.

Get in your car and drive to In N Out up at Havasu or if you don’t want to go that far get a pan pizza (not regular) at Domino’s.

La Piazza the pizza making people - I always try to support Anthony

Yes, probably the best choice in this thread besides Lily's. Salads and sandwiches are good at La Piazza also. Anthony is a hard working young man and we try to support him.
