So at the end of next week the family and I will be doing our annual 10 day vacation in Havasu. I’ve been doing this same trip for 26 years now and I have only been to Parker twice. This year we are going to mix it up a bit and make our way down to the strip for a few days. What are the must do, and see places? I really don’t need to support Pirates Den as I’m sure it’s the same as what I can get up north. Who makes the best food/drinks on the water and what would be the ideal days to go? Any spots on the river to avoid?

I would go mid week
Go to
Foxes
Roadrunner
You also must go to the damn and float down

Two sandbars .
Upper, across from foxes . I prefer
Lower is at the south end across from blue water casino...

Pirates Den in Parker does not suck like Pirates Cove at Park Moabi. Make a stop at Pirates Den, you'll have a good time. Parker is just a length of water to cruise up and down all day. Road Runner, Foxes, Blue Water, sandbar at Blue Water, beach across from Foxes are all good places. Boat up to Parker dam, shut the engine off and float down river. No need to hustle or hit all the spots in 1 day. Just enjoy the river and the people watching.

Parker has just as many idiots as Lake Havasu, but they are in a more confined area and are exponentially more stupid than those on the other side of the dam.

You haven’t missed anything, the only advantage is the early morning glass water skiing.

Middle of the week traffic is the best. Hit all the spots mentioned

Don't waste your money on food at Pirates, It's terrible!
Pirates Cove in Park Moabi has terrible food and service. Pirates Den in Parker has always done me well. One thing to remember is Arizona service is generally slower than Ca service, Arizona time!

You are one of the first I've heard that likes it. To give you an idea, Pirates has the cool theme, indoor dining, 30+ parking spots, etc. and people still would rather cram 6 boats into 4 spots at Roadrunner of Foxes. Pirates should be killing both of those places.

Road Runner and Foxes have their name going for them, as well though they are great places with good food and service. I stop by all the time. When they get crowded and busy the customers can make it a shit show and that's tough to deal with when you have young kids. Pirates has an overall nicer environment and is easier with kids. Don't have to worry about kids falling off a dock or a drunk coming in hot from the river and hitting my boat on the river side of the dock while having breakfast or lunch.

Pirates Den has always been good for us. The food and service in my opinion is better than what you'll get at any other place on the strip. And sometimes, it feels nice sitting inside an air conditioned restaurant enjoying a meal after a long day in the sun.

I agree...I have young ones also (6 and 8) and it is much easier to go in and out of pirates but my wife wont eat there anymore.

Pirates is great for camping and beach front spots, Foxes is great to stop by for food, Camping reservations system sucks and no beach, SOuth Sandbar gets a crowd in afternoon and dam floats are the best, Only a couple shallow spots you have to get over to avoid.

Its best for food and service to just set your expectations on “river” and go have fun.

Pirates has always gone above and beyond for me. Their eggs benedict was really good the last time I was there.
