When they say its going from 19k CFS to 9K CFS in the next hour they mean it. It didn't go back up to 19k CFS for 4 days after that

The normal deal is the water drops down Wednesday night and comes back up Thursday morning. I can see the level on my dock, and the change is worse upriver from where I am.

Several years ago I was with a friend in a pontoon on Cinco de Mayo, dropped off others across the river after leaving Roadrunner, stayed long enough for a couple of beers and the boat was stuck fast. We were able to get it free about 8:30 the next morning.
