I have had a couple pedegos for about 11 years now, solid bike but I think there are better now. Most use the same Chinese parts maybe with a different name and as SM said, hard to come by during covid times. You can find pedegos with a dead battery usually on CL for around $700, I have a place that sells batteries for about $385.

Lots of better ones, depends on what you are looking for? Start your search w mid drive systems! Ive had Focus and Hiabike and they are both pretty damn nice compaired to the Chinese hub drive bikes.

I’ve ridden the pedegos and I have several friends that have lots of miles on theirs so I was looking for those as a starting point. If there’s better I’m always game to check them out.

Look at E-Lux ans Murf as well. Both are solid.

My son has a Nakto. Don't get one of those

I looked for a while and bought a electric bike company model R. EBC is in Newport Beach and Huntington Beach. You can stop by and test ride any of their bikes. They seem to be popular on the bike trails. I like the fact that they are built in the USA with many USA parts, or so they claim.

Search CL daily they pop up but go quickly. I test rode a lot of them. The Pedego I liked was 4k plus tax. The best fit for me was a E Lux. Can test ride them in Fountain Valley at there sales headquarters. 3k otd for top of the line model. There suspension seat sold me. Riding from Redondo to bars in El Segundo and back your ass will get sore way before the battery will ever go low. The week after I bought found same on CL hardly used for 1200.

Based on recommendations from RDP I bought a soul stomper. opted for the upgrades. Love the bike and ride it every other day.

I ended up buying 2 used pedego bikes. I really want to get a couple of the soul bikes but they are on back order for a couple months so I’ll probably end up getting some of those when they come off back order. I found one of these in Havasu with 60 miles for $1850 and the other one in laguna Nigel for $1800 with 100 miles. These will work great for the beach
