Perfect riding day to Oatman

Almost 80* that made for a comfortable ride other than taking the lead sled lol
Did the entire loop. Went in through Topock and out the back way of Oatman to the 40. 124 mile round trip.
Had lunch at the Hotel. Best pulled pork sandwich with homemade buffalo ears and slaw.
The place got packed in a hurry. We'll go back again just for lunch
Amazing how busy it was for mid week and quite a few old cars there.

Oatman is always a good time. Took my Mother there last year for the first time. She had no idea of what it was all about and had a great time that day. Thanks for the photos.

If you have time keep going up 66 to Hualapai Mountain road and stop at the lodge for a cold one. Our cabin was a short walk from there.

I bet I haven't a had a Buffalo Burger in 40 years --- damn, now I really want one. Sounds like Oatman isn't the place to get one. Since there's a Buffalo ranch just east of me, I bet somebody around here serves them.

Funny, after reading that post all I could think about was a damned Buffalo / Bison burger. So I started searching the net for someplace around me that had them, not for last night, but this weekend. Of course once you include "Burger" in your search the sucky-fucky search engines toss up every place within 25 miles that serve a burger.

Oddly after some time devoted to this endeavor, I found a hole in the wall place, next store to some Adult Book and toy store, not that far away --- and to be honest, not a place I've ever considered stopping at for a burger.
The reviews for their food was off the charts and extremely positive. So just maybe I've stumbled across some sparkling food gem, disguised as just some brown rock, but their menu includes a large Bison Burger --- gonna find out this weekend. or ---- We will see.

2 lunches and 2 beers was $30 and service was great
If someone didn't know the shootout was going on it is loud inside.
Wonder how much money is hanging on the walls?

Damn, is that his skid mark? That road is maybe a 50 mph road on a Harley, he must have been flying to target fixate like that and lock it up a d skid that far. Maybe it was a burro in his way.

That road changes colors and it's hard to see the sand and gravel on it. I've slid my front tire and take every corner pretty slow now.
You never know what awaits you around the corner.
I did a search and there's been a few bike deaths on that road
That looks like his half helmet laying there.
