Has anyone seen this boat? Long story short it was in my family, found it once by mouzer couldn't grab it then. Went to Canada, guy destroyed it in my opinion but to each their own. He put it up on Drag Boat City but wanted way too much for it. I'm not sure where it went after that. Would like to locate it. Not sure if it stayed in Canada or came back to the states.

I don't think most in that state even know which way is north, let alone how many miles it would be to their destination [emoji202]

No I am not joking

... I tend to agree with you... In addition...I forget what freeway or interstate it is but I somehow got on it and soon realized that I would not be able to turn around and go back in the direction that I had originally intended for 30miles the longest 30 mile drive of my life... no offramp's for 30 miles WTF???...

I am not sure of that interstate. The thing I don't get is that they don't have on and off ramps , you have to drive on the frontage road a 1/2 mile or 1 mile or so to get on the freeway/ interstate. To this day I still drive on the wrong side why I am getting yelled at.

I am use to turning right on to a on ramp [emoji202]

My 66 Sanger / Nailhead for power

Needs a lil work:eek

My buddies old Stevens with nailhead power, was a little better than this when he started but not much. My old Stevens when we returned it to a hot ski boat from the wannabe drag boat I tried to make it into. My current hot rod, 2001 Canyon...2nd best thing I ever rode.:p

Hi Kenny,

I see Edelbrock marine parts on the nailhead. Kinda rare & very cool.
Would you happen to have any pictures of the front cover ?
Do you know if he runs a mechanical fuel pump or electric?
I have Nicson & I know these front covers do not have the ability to run a mechanical fuel pump.

Thanks Kenny & hope all is well,
Brian

Hi Brian,

I used an electric fuel pump. The Edelbrock didn't have the ability to run mechanical either.
Here's a couple of pictures of the front cover, hope they help. Let me know if there's any others you want.

Good god Keith,
That's beautiful!

Thank you for posting these pictures.
Looking like it's going to be an electric fuel pump.

Thanks again,
Brian

Ps ~ Sure like that Edelbrock set up over the Nicson stuff.
I could look for years & probably not find the complete set up .. :(

Brian,

I may be wrong it's been a while but I'm pretty sure Keith found those parts on E-Bay etc. as the boat came with an old hemi and he is a Nailhead guy.

I actually found the set-up on v-driveboat...or should I say it found me.
A guy contacted me in one of my threads stating that he pulled a Nailhead out of his boat, and installed a Hemi. He offered me the complete set with mounts, logs, etc, real reasonable.
Timing is everything, as they say! :)

Not My Cole TR2, but it used to belong to my friend, and I have driven it. super fun Flat bottom, and I hope to one day own a go fast boat just like it.
A fella at Parker now owns it, and my friend has told him that if he decides to sell it, he will buy it back. I even told him when he sold it that he would regret and miss that boat. Lol! he however has a Howard flat right now, I told him if he buys the Cole back, that I would take the Howard off his hands.

Here's a couple of teaser pics of our 2016 Giroux TR-2.

Awesome, I have the same headers and mine are Jet Hot coated...what did you use because yours look shinier than mine.
Thanks

Poncho, Dan Lemons had the headers coated after he built them for us by Brite Hot Coatings in Fresno (559) 233-1461 www.capsbhc.com. Thanks for the props on the boat, I'll post up a few pictures after we get all the pretty stuff done. BTW the coating is called CermaKrome.

Thank you,

Dan built mine kind of custom to clear my fuel tanks, I had to wait check the fit before coating them in case we had to tweak.

What is the weight of your layup?, is this a race only or dual purpose. Just curious as mine is 450lbs. and I always wonder what people build new for their purpose.

Beautiful boat and I hear nothing but praise for those guy's.

Happy Easter

We had Pete lay it up at 550lbs so we could use as a lake boat too however, it's primary purpose is to run TE or 9.0s. For the powerplant we replicated a Reher-Morrisson 509 Sportsman engine with a few minor changes, 1/2 a point less compression (14:1), better heads (Brodix BB2+ ported and reworked by Joey Grose, thiers were BB2+ out of the box), and a better intake (2 1050 Gen 3 Dominators on an Edelbrock Victor Ram that the boys at Grose massaged). We are just now taking it apart for powder coat and anodize and to get it more pretty on the outside. Then we get to put it all back together and go have some fun! Here's a couple more pictures.

God I hope not, I hate detuning!:eek

Just a work of art!!! Trying to convince my pops to have a new giroux laid up. After racing with joe and his new one he has the itch. I bet you will have to de tune that to only run 9.0s. Can't wait to see it all done
