After looking at Stryder and 1Manwolfpack's Elisinore photos I was inspired to start a thread of motocross and general off-road pics that I've collected over the years. Some of it is stuff of me riding, friends hanging out etc. and some are photos I captured behind the lens. Feel free to add your own photos as this thread is really about my love for all things two-wheeled :thumbsup:cool

You should always start at the begining.... This is me on my first bike, a Honda MR50 Elsinore. Yes, I know my gear was quite advanced....



This is my Pops back before I was a glimmer... You can see where I get my keen eye for fashion. This was either B-line or Canyon raceway way back in the day. This was a national race and my old man raced that day against The Man, Roger Decoster....

PT I was about a generation in front of you racing MX. I started on a Hodaka Super Rat :skull Yep the one with the big chrome tank (aka the ball crusher). I raced Canyon, Deer Valley, Globe, Safford, San Manuel, Willcox, Sunrise Park here in Tucson and a few races at some place called 11 mile corner I think. Was a banked dirt track for cars, we'd head down the main straightaway and turn 1 was our first jump. Ended up in the Open Class on a YZ 465 that beast beat me up a few times and I walked away in 1984, barely

In 2000 I broke my neck at the World Mini GP in Vegas.... On the first lap of my first moto! :grumble: Stewart was on a Super Mini and railing! :thumbsup Anyway, the broken neck naturally set me back physically and financially, so I hung up the boots for a while.....

Anyone who has had to set aside what they love knows that it can only really be a temporary arrangement.... So, in 2005 I picked up a shiny new CRF450R

I'm almost embarrased to post in here but what the hell.

My first bike was an 81 IT 425. I had to wait until i was 18 to get a bike because my dad had a no dirtbike rule at our house. I learned to ride at 13 because a friend offered to teach me but getting permission from Dad was difficult.

These pics are from the last few years because I don't really have any aside from above before about 2003.

a couple of my friends ride this ( 50 years old ), isn't it like 25+? mile loop he says they should put a bar 1/2 way so the pain will be gone by the time they finsh

Man that was the same deal in my house. Dad was totally against ANY bikes.

Had to learn on my friends Taco22, and moved up that lader from there. I remember when I finally went out and bought my first street bike. My dad came out and looked at it, didn't say a word, then went back in the house. Nothing was ever said.

Bought my first quad when the Blaster first came out. Man I wish I had pics from back then! I beat the crap outa that thing out and around Bell Mountian. I still have it today! Then someone said...how do you like Glamis? I was like...huh? I've never been. People were like...you have a quad, and youve never been to Glamis? So I made some sand friends on GD.com and started riding out there.

In Glamis, it's all about who you ride with. With the right people, it's one of the best places to ride! I've havent had dirt tires on my quads for maybe 10 years. The sand is a blast to ride...

Thats too funny I was racing Speedworld & Eloy in 99 & 2000 on my 99 YZ400F,,then hung it up in Dec 2000, got back into again in Jan 2011 on another YZ450F,still racing today, you racing AMX or AZOT motocross by any chance??

bad ass! I bought my WR450F from Walts Motorsports in Havasu back in 2004. Modded the hell out of the ignition mapping, fmf pipe, rejet, cam you name it. Still own it and ride it often. It's a rocket ship!

My bike has been sitting in pieces in my garage for years waiting for me to put it back together, one of those "time and money" things I guess :grumble:

On a side note, Daren and I spent two days shooting the Elsinore GP this past weekend and came away with a lot of nice photos to be posted soon!
