Nice! How many coats did you use?

Two good coats. I also put it right above the door bar when people enter and it holds up pretty good. Cost me about 20 bucks as opposed to line-x $100-$150 bucks.

So I turn on my headlights to find on of my hid kit lights is not working. I chase the thing for an hour or so and eliminate the problem to the ballast. So I take the ballast off and decide to take the cover off to see if I can see an issue. I open one side and it's all sealed up with silicon. I open the other side and some sand comes out, so I'm thinking dude that had it must have submerged the thing. I think that until it dumps about a cup of sand on the ground, so I crack the thing open and find it full of sand and rocks haha! Did a little research and find that it's common for the cheapo china brands to fill their ballasts with sand instead of silica for vibration deadening. Looks like I'm buying some new lights!

That's so bad it seems like it would have to be a joke.
Unfortunately, the joke is on the American consumer who feels saving a buck up front is a smart long term strategy.
The Chinese are laughing at us.:thumbsdown

Pretty much done for now... Lots more things I like to do but not enough funds and money right now. All told after parting out the bikes for this project I think I have less than $100 in this build :)

I would guess thats a 8-10K car in this market if its in good shape and the motor/tranny have no known issues.

I got offered all kinds of cool sand only buddies when I was selling my kawi.....only issue is sand cars are very one dimensional. If thats your thing it will be 100x better than the rhino. If its not your thing it will sit and not be used.

I wouldn't do it if your thinking of flipping the buggy

Sound advice. Thanks CT!

I have the Rhino advertised for $8k and I would probably turn right around and try to sell the rail.

Rhinos are hard to break....

It would make me nervous taking that buggy on trade hoping for a flip just in case something went bad.

your 100x more informed on dubs than me so maybe you could catch the issues before it turned into a new tranny and motor...lol:)

The fact that it brakes axels is a good first example right?

there are several other kits that are better and more expensive. Its the cheetah of Lt kits.

Axle issues were due to bfgs and driving on street. No issues with big horns. ;) like Wes I tried to stick with a concept that just wasn't gonna work.

4130 chromoly. Uniball. 6" out. 2" forward 2" back. 14" travel Front 12" rear. Frame supports. Sounds like good shit to me.

So once again I ask that you enlighten me as to what makes my parts "shitty" and "cheap".

If you think its awesome I'm happy for you...

I "personally" would consider the fu2 kits one of the shittier kits on the market and I wouldn't own a car that had it installed.

There price is cheap and people have had travel and caster issues.

I'm not saying its a bad kit but from the research i did when i was a rhino owner it was a budget based kit that I wouldn't buy.

Are you saying there isn't issues and its the best kit on the market? Have they raced and competed with the kit or did you buy it because it was cheap?

Truthfully I was thinking that rail would bring 6-7k. Now if it was late September I'd probably do the deal, but not heading into lake season.

So after all this you still have not answered my question YOU are the one said my kit is shitty and cheap. Yet haven't explained why its shitty just spewed a bunch of second hand info and even said you have no first hand experience with it. I never said mine was the best nor have I said anyone else's was bad.

I bought the kit because after taking to multiple friends who actually do race (more than just their fingers on a keyboard). They all said his fab skills were very good. Plus he has personal relationships with king and summer bros. and he set my rhino up exactly how I wanted it. Even worked withe in trying to keep my bfgs. But at the end of the day it was found to be a bad decision for a Lt rhino. Also spoke to numerous customers of his and even went on rides in their cars before pulling the trigger on mine.

With the money I have dumped on my rhino. Getting shit done cheap was never really my goal. ;) in fact anyone that has been in my rhino has always walked away impressed with it and how everything works.
