Found a bitchin house yesterday and want to make an offer on it, the only issue with the home is the pool. The plaster looks like it's seen better days where the shelf and steps are (discolored, worn looking), and the Jacuzzi is literally a "one man" size jacuzzi. Why would somebody design a jacuzzi like that? It's a 5' triangle, literally.

What would it cost to re-plaster and enlarge the jacuzzi? So-cal area (thousand oaks).

Cheap customers...

You going to expand it into the pool area or dig it bigger? Making it bigger involves plumbing and new coping. Get expensive quickly.

Expand into pool most likely, good point

There is a lot you can do to a pool. I added a tanning shelf. Was not very expensive. Shop around to a lot of pool contractors and get a schedule from them because they are quick to sign you up then drag there feet because they are too busy. Good luck

That spa is a joke. Lol
To do it right 10k on spa alone
5-6k range on plaster, 8500 range if pebble or Quartz
1800 range tile
5k range coping
How is equipment, heater large enough for a real spa? Pump large enough for more jets?

Maybe just get ride of the spa if worried about cost. I can’t believe they built a spa that small.

I had a spa like that on my pool in Havasu I cut the wall out between the pool and spa and just made it a swim up sitting area. I bought a Jacuzzi to put up on the patio which work out great because I have a great Lakeview when sitting in the Jacuzzi now

based on quotes I've been given for my pool in OC it's about 20,000k for modern equipment, plaster and tile...
