Well it seems we are allergic to our dog. Looking for an air filter. Any thoughts?

We have a couple hepa air cleaners wifey will turn on occasionally...but usually more so for odor.
Dog fur is a hard one to "filter".....it's everywhere.

He sheds quite a bit. He does have a funk about him. Maybe we can at least eliminate that.

Bought my Pops a 'Coway' brand filter for his room. (Sub $200 ) off Amazon.
I know it works killer cause I'm the one who cleans and replaces the filters.
He has an 'Australian Shedder' . . . worst hair on the planet as far as shedding. The shit must be lighter than air, I swear to god.

If your budget allows, I recommend a unit from https://www.rabbitair.com . My wife is a smoker, and it’s too damn cold here in the winter for smoking outside, so I bought their A3 unit. It comes with HEPA and charcoal filters, and I added the odor filter (you can also order it with a pet allergy filter). It’s still annoying while she’s actively smoking, but within minutes there’s no lingering odor. I knew it would work, because my favorite cigar bar (on Indian land…no smoking in Washington) uses them.

Bought this to help with German shepherd and shedding. I notice a lot less fluff on the ground when I sweep now.

We have a Dyson hepa filter that runs 24/7 in our bedroom. My wife has asthma and we have dogs. She does breathing treatments every day. Does it help? I think so. The filters are expensive though.

Any good quality hepa filter will work. The hair is not the problem it is the dander or put another way the dead skin cells. You will also need a vacuum with a hepa filter. Also every time you vacuum dust and dander will be stirred up. Running an air purifier after the vacuuming will help clear the air.
