Prayers for CHP Officer Down in bad motorcycle crash: Devonshire Division

A suspect from a traffic stop assaulted a CHP Officer and ran away. It appears a CHP motor Officer backing was involved in a bad T/C responding. Unknown level of injuries to either Officer. Around 60 LAPD Officers, 20 LA School Police are setting up a perimeter with 10 D team Officers and 6 Metro Bite Dogs enroute

The motor will be ok, broken wrist. Wasn’t as bad as it may have looked.

You couldn't pay me enough to ride a bike on patrol. I'm glad your guy is OK. One of my best friends went down tough a few years ago. He survived because he is in phenomenal shape and can ride better than most anyone out there. Spending his days off racing at the tracks played a big role in his abilities on a bike.
