My father in law is attempting to over come a too large 34' camp trailer with his Ram 1500 swaying like a beotch. He ordered one of these: I'm thinkin he will be hurting himself or others as his truck is too small. No matter how much shit he tries. Comments?
Honestly I see that shit as a band aid to a much more serious problem. With all the bolts and crap there's more chance of a failure.
Try a blue ox. I switched to one over a traditional weight distribution hitch and the difference was night and day.
HAHAHAHA. dude won't listen to me. Hope he only hurts himself and yes it's almost this bad. I at least helped him get the mess level or almost.
I had an 86 3/4 ton 2wd Chevy. 350/400 combo. I pulled a 12k fifth wheel, I used some one ton rear leaf springs under the rear end. Handled the weight just fine. Also worked good for pulling the cab over camper and the botë. Rode a little stiff unloaded, but not unreasonable. Maybe upgrading the rear springs to 3/4 ton would help. Dan'l

As of this morning I am off the hook for storing and working on this mess since I couldn't install this crap in his timeline. If you see him get out of his way.
Looks pretty level but that truck is maxed out throw some grades at it and it’s only a matter of time, engine, tranny, rear end, brakes.
