Did you use Early Classic suspension parts exclusively or mix and match some other brands? I hear you on the loud to drive part.I'm gonna use some dynamat or comprable product to quiet mine down a little in the cab.I forgot to mention the heat after I put the headers on so some insulation is a must in AZ.
Looking Good:thumbsup

I got all the suspension and break stuff from early classic.... Stuff fit great and the build quality and customer service is top notch.

Made the trip up to modesto and back no problem. My ears rang for a couple days when I got back though...haha

Fatmat sells 100 sq ft of sound deadning for about $120.00 that will be one of the next projects. I figure a nice layer on the floor and firewall will do wonders.

I'm gonna have to ride in yours to see just how loud it is compared to mine. I dint think mind us too bad. It's got a couple minor squeaks and rattles but nothing to bad for being a 23 year old truck.
I got the new rear bumper in yesterday and rebuilt the throttle body and put in new injectors. Thing runs way better now. A little more responsive and idles real smooth now. Finally really got on it yesterday. It'll roast the tires that's for sure. Not bad for a tired low hp 350. Trans is bad ass. Lays rubber going into 2nd.

Alot of things changed between 72-73...lol

My dash is all metal

My roof is all metal

Gas tan behind the seat is metal

My doors are metal with metal door panels

Other than the carpet, visors, seat and steeering wheel its a metal echo chamber:D:skull

Lets see some pics...what was wrong with the rear bumper? Get the dash peices yet?

Rear bumper was dented up and bugged me. I'm gonna leave the dash alone for now. It's only got 1 real bad spot so I'm just gonna stick a picture of the baby over it to cover it. Here's a pic of the back now with the new bumper and the exhaust tips and hitch removed. I had new tips made that dump out the sides and are tucked up so you can't see them.

Ya it cleaned up the back nicely. I'm gonna take out the overload leaf too. It'll bring it down a tad more and hopefully soften the ride a bit.

I'm gonna go with that plus the doors, heard anything about spray vs stick on mat.I heard some use the spray first then the mat on top of it.

A couple ex dodgers Bobby Castillio and Jim Campanis asked if they could take a picture in front of the truck.

I didn't have the heart to tell them I was a Angels fan...nice guys:)

That's right punk......that clean truck of yours just needed some Dodgers posted up in front of it to complete it. :skull:skull

lol...The only reason I let those guys pose by me and the truck is because i felt bad for them...

I mean seriuously who wants to walk around your whole life with the dirty stanky stink of being a dodger. The only thing worse is being a dodger fan since your not getting paid...haha:bash::skull

Go Angels:D

I haven't really spent much time with the truck.... Washed it friday after work with hopes of maybe driving her saturday. (didnt happen becuse of the rain)

I actually got a couple things done sunday...replaced the drivers side upper trim with a matching original chrome peice (they were mis matched when I got it) and I also replaced the gauge bezel with a new unit while I was shorning the steering shaft.

I also replaced the window crankers and installed the plastic washers to knock down rattles.

Changed the headers Saturday. Vacuum line to trans modulator got pinched. 1st gear only. Too dam low to crawl under it and fix it.

AAA to the rescue :D

All right so i finally got around to doing something i have put off for awhile....when i first got the truck my biggest complaint was cab noise.

I stripped the interior and added 2 layers of rattle trap by fat mat and followed that up with some carpet insulation from home depot.

Reinstalled the carpet and bought some carpeted kick panels to tie it together.

I have new puch on door rubbers in route...the glue on ones were terrible
